Hotel The Botanik Sewoon Myeongdong Exterior

Hotel The Botanik Sewoon Myeongdong opened its doors in December 2024, boasting 756 sleek rooms.
Even in 2026, the entire property still feels incredibly fresh, modern, and pristine.
Nestled right beside the historic Sewoon and Daejim Plazas,
the hotel's green botanical logo stands out beautifully against the skyline.

The second floor features a direct pedestrian bridge connection
that leads straight into the bustling Sewoon Plaza complex.

Beatles Taco on Seosulla-gil, Seoul Records

Uchujin Ramen, Beolsae Pedestrian Overpass, Dive Records
This makes it incredibly easy to beat the crowds to the trendiest hot spots
around Sewoon Plaza and the beautiful Seosulla-gil stone wall walk.
If you get hungry late at night, you can easily slip out
for amazing local cafes, casual diners, and hip bars right on your doorstep.

One quick heads-up: The immediate surroundings are undergoing major redevelopment.
Some construction barriers might make finding the main entrance a little tricky on your first day.
Check-in: From 3:00 PM
Check-out: Until 12:00 PM (Noon)

Check-in starts at 3:00 PM at the stylish 2nd-floor front desk.
There is a spacious communal lounge to relax in, and an Emart24 convenience store right outside.

While self-service kiosks are available, the incredibly friendly staff
usually step in to assist you personally with a warm smile.
Plus, while many Seoul hotels have pushed check-out up to 11:00 AM,
The Botanik offers a generous 12:00 PM check-out, letting you enjoy a slow morning.
The front desk staff are also exceptionally fluent in English, making communication seamless.

Depending on whether your room is in Building A or Building B,
you will use different elevator bays.

I was assigned to Building A,
which features clean, modern, apartment-style corridors.
Premier Suite Double Room
~452 sq ft (42㎡) | Floors 3-20, City View
Hotel The Botanik Sewoon Myeongdong offers a great variety of room types,
including [Superior, Premier Deluxe, Premier Suite, Signature Botanik Suite, Namsan View, and Accessible Rooms].

For my stay, I opted for the more spacious
Premier Suite Double Room to have extra breathing room.

Stepping inside!
Fresh indoor slippers are provided daily.

The room layout maximizes every inch of space
with clever built-in cabinets and sliding doors.

The left built-in cabinet houses a lovely selection of
coffee, tea, mugs, and wine glasses,
alongside deep storage shelves perfect for organizing your belongings.
Note: The tea and coffee weren't replenished during my stay, which might have been a minor oversight.

There is a full-sized refrigerator in the room,
stocked with two complimentary bottles of water daily!

Opening the right door near the entryway reveals
an unexpectedly large walk-in storage area.
For long-term travelers, this is an absolute godsend for stashing bulky suitcases, winter coats, and shoes.

On the right side of the entryway, you will find
a hidden in-unit washer and dryer combo!
Laundry detergent isn't provided for free (but is sold at the front desk), so I brought my own.
A standard wash-and-dry cycle takes about 2 hours and 3 minutes.
It worked so incredibly well that my partner managed to pack completely clean, dry clothes for our flight home!
While many business hotels offer communal coin laundries, having a private washer in your room is next-level convenience.

Here is a panoramic feel of the living space.
The room features state-of-the-art climate control and ventilation systems,
giving it the feel of a luxury, modern high-rise apartment.

The living area features comfortable lounge chairs and a dining table.
The Smart TV supports streaming apps and can be swiveled
to face either the dining area or the lounge chairs (though it's a bit far to watch comfortably from bed).
Sliding glass doors open up to a private terrace area!

The fully equipped kitchenette features an induction stove, microwave/oven combo, sink, and kettle.
Dishwashing soap and a fresh sponge are also provided.
While only basic plates are stocked in the drawers,
you can request additional cooking utensils and tableware from reception!
Keeping the cooking gear at reception actually ensures everything is kept perfectly hygienic.
Your glassware is located in the cabinet across the room.

The multi-functional dining table/desk features a built-in charging hub
that accommodates various international plug types.
Underneath, there is even a dedicated wine fridge!
While I just used the main fridge, wine enthusiasts will absolutely love this premium addition.

The open-concept kitchen and living area flow seamlessly,
while elegant glass sliding doors partition off the private bedroom.
Even though it is a residence-style setup, the hotel provides full daily housekeeping services, offering the best of both worlds.

The bedroom features a clean bedside table on one side
and a beautifully designed semi-transparent walk-in closet.
Since the city view isn't particularly scenic, I kept the blackout curtains drawn for a cozy sleep environment.

The queen-sized bed was incredibly comfortable—I slept like a baby every single night.
They provide four pillows in total, offering both firm and soft options.

The bathrobes, luggage rack, and in-room safe
are located right inside the master closet adjacent to the bedroom.
The closet space is exceptionally roomy, making it incredibly convenient for organizing longer stays.

And yes, there is a premium LG Styler steam closet in the room!
It is perfect for refreshing coats, jackets, and delicate fabrics that you can't easily wash, which was a massive plus during our trip.

I requested an iron and ironing board on our first night, and it was delivered to our door in less than 10 minutes.
The staff's incredible responsiveness and warm service rivaled some of the 5-star luxury hotels I have stayed at in Busan.
Fast, efficient service is always a huge win!
The Bathroom

The modern vanity comes equipped with hand wash, fresh towels, and a vanity mirror.
Housekeeping replaces towels daily and provides light room cleaning for stays longer than 2 nights.
While some online reviews mentioned minor housekeeping inconsistencies, our room was kept absolutely spotless every single day.

While there is no bathtub, the bathroom features a sleek layout with
glass-enclosed partitions separating the shower, toilet, and vanity area.
The seals on the doors are excellent, keeping the rest of the bathroom perfectly dry.

Essential amenities (comb, cotton swabs, hair ties, cotton pads),
a powerful hair dryer, and extra tissue are neatly provided.
The hair dryer plug is conveniently hidden inside the vanity cabinet, keeping the design clean and uncluttered.

High-quality body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in eco-friendly dispensers.
The shower head is basic, but the water pressure is absolutely fantastic!
There is also plenty of shelf space to place your personal toiletries and skincare items.
The Room View

If a breathtaking room view is high on your priority list, this hotel might not be for you.
Most standard rooms look out onto active construction sites and high-rise apartments.
Depending on your floor, you might even have an eye-contact view with neighbors across the street.

We did catch some beautiful skies, but as construction continues,
the urban views will likely become more enclosed.
If a scenic view is a dealbreaker, I highly recommend booking the Namsan View Room option!

The free weights zone is clean, well-organized, and stocked with brand-new equipment.

There are plenty of lockers, including large sizes that fit full-sized suitcases—perfect for travelers arriving early or leaving late.
Pricing is ~$3 for the first 4 hours, and an additional ~$3 for every 2 hours after, which is a bit premium but highly convenient.
