When you're planning a hassle-free weekend getaway or holiday staycation with your family, you naturally prioritize places where you don't have to worry about the weather and can move around comfortably indoors.

Thinking back on our family trips, Hotel Onoma Daejeon, Autograph Collection, came to mind as a perfect spot. It's located right in downtown Daejeon, boasting pristine facilities and incredibly convenient access to shopping.

Let me share our experience making the most of the direct connection to Shinsegae Department Store and the hotel's fantastic indoor swimming pool.

Seamless Indoor Access to Shinsegae Department Store

One of the most significant conveniences here is the direct indoor passage connecting the hotel's 7th-floor lobby to Shinsegae Department Store Daejeon. This unique design means you can simply walk through a connecting door on the 7th floor and find yourself right in the department store, making movement incredibly easy. It was quite impressive!

Without ever needing to step outside, we could easily access the food and beverage outlets on both the basement and upper floors of the department store. This made finding meals and snacks incredibly convenient.

Even on bad weather days, the ability to move freely without needing to bundle up in coats was a huge plus.

Enjoy the Indoor Pool with Panoramic City Views

The hotel's indoor swimming pool is designed for guests to enjoy a swim while taking in city views through its expansive glass windows. I visited the pool at night after a day of activities, so unfortunately, I missed out on the daytime panorama.

The fitness center and swimming pool are impeccably maintained, and the layout is straightforward, making it easy to relax and unwind.

The pool area is compact and easy to navigate, which makes it a great choice for families with children.

All prices include taxes, and the free cancellation deadline is clearly stated, making trip planning flexible.

A Business Deluxe Room (1 King bed, approximately 280 sq ft) can be booked for ~$220, including taxes.

Breakfast can be added for ~$41 per person.

The Deluxe Twin room (two single beds, approximately 398 sq ft) is ~$244, including taxes.

The Premier Corner Room, measuring approximately 538 sq ft and equipped with a bathtub, is ~$301, including taxes, for both the King bed corner room and the two single beds option.

Useful Tips Before Your Visit

Since the hotel shares its parking facilities with the department store, it's a good idea to check for areas closest to the hotel's dedicated check-in elevators, especially on weekends or during peak arrival times when the parking lot can get busy. This will make your parking experience smoother.
