As the winning team of the 51st Zamjari Experience Group,
we recently had the amazing opportunity to stay at Hotel The Designers Seoul National University (호텔 더 디자이너스 서울대)!
The room we stayed in was the Premier Twin!

But get this... there's a noraebang (karaoke room) in the basement of the hotel, right at Seoul National University Station (서울대입구역)?! Seriously, LOL!
And it's not just any noraebang, but one that even has foreign language keyboards and separate songbooks for foreign songs!

At first, we went to check out our room,
but we ended up having even more fun in the underground lounge, LOL!
What's more, the room view, which was already great during the day,
transformed into a completely different atmosphere at night!

From the Premier Twin room to the underground lounge, the noraebang, and the night view that completely captivated me!
I'll show you each one, piece by piece, haha!
1. Premier Twin Room

The room we used was
the Premier Twin!
There were two beds,
and it had a bright and clean feel overall.

On one side, there was a desk and a chair,
along with a small table and a spot to sit and relax,
so the room layout was actually better than I expected, haha!
But after unpacking and going to the window,
I was a little surprised...?

Oh... the view here is better than I thought?!
The neighborhood scenery of Seoul (서울) unfolded right outside the window,
with apartments visible in the distance, so I immediately started taking photos, haha!

The room's refrigerator contained three bottles of water,
and coffee, tea, and an electric kettle were also provided.
The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner,
and body wash.

But I even needlessly took out the lemon & lime tea just to snap a photo... LOL
That's just me, I have to capture even these small details in photos to feel complete, haha!

And what was really unique was that there was a shoe sterilizer!!
It was my first time ever seeing a hotel with a shoe sterilizer, you know!
2. Underground Lounge

But the real surprise of this hotel
begins on the second basement floor, LOL!
Initially, I just thought it was a space to eat and relax, you know?
But the more I looked around,
the more things kept appearing...?!

There's a karaoke room, meeting rooms,
a space where you can use computers and printers,
and even a laundry room!
No way, all these facilities are
right there in the hotel's basement? LOL!

There are also places to sit, eat, or just relax,
so you don't even need to go outside;
you can totally spend your time in the lounge.

Especially the washing machines and dryers
were marked as free for guests to use on the notice board.
Detergent can be bought from a vending machine
on the 1st floor.
When your laundry piles up during your trip,
having a facility like this is subtly reassuring, isn't it? Haha!
3. Karaoke Room

Alright!! But what I found most amazing
was this karaoke room right here! LOLOLOL
It was surprising enough that there was a karaoke room inside the hotel,
but the space was quite spacious too.
But then I saw the remote control and was surprised again, wasn't I...?

Next to the Hangul keyboard,
there was a separate keyboard
for English input!!

There was even a songbook for foreign songs.
Not only Japanese and Chinese,
but also Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian,
Russian, and even Spanish songs?!
Seriously, at this point,
isn't this a global karaoke room? LOLOLOL

When I visited,
I saw quite a few foreign guests.
But after seeing the songbook,
I realized... guests really do come here from many different countries! Haha!

The karaoke room notice stated
it was free for guests to use,
and could be used freely without a reservation.
To be able to relax at the hotel and even sing songs –
if you come with friends,
this would be absolutely thrilling, wouldn't it? LOL!

4. Evening After-Party

That evening, we had our victory after-party
in the underground lounge!!
And the food was seriously... LOLOLOL

From pizza to sashimi, sushi, and even gimbap,
we laid it all out on the table,
and had a proper feast! Haha!
Just for reference, this wasn't breakfast or a buffet
provided by the hotel!
This was the food we ate during our after-party! LOL!

There was also a refrigerator in the lounge
stocked with drinks.
A notice was posted, asking guests to drink the beverages inside the lounge
and only take what they needed.

As we all ate and chatted,
time really flew by.
After finishing our after-party,
we headed back up to our rooms...
5. Room Night View
Wow, what is this night view?!
I thought the view outside the window was nice during the day,
but when night fell, the atmosphere completely transformed!!
Lights turned on one by one in every building in the neighborhood,
and even the tall buildings in the distance twinkled brightly...

I honestly stood by the window for ages, just gazing! Haha.
It looks beautiful in photos,
but in person, the lights are so much more intricate and dense,
it was hard to tear my eyes away.

Honestly, the daytime view was great too,
but I loved the night view even more!!!
With a view like this, you wouldn't even need to go out;
just sitting by the window and admiring the nightscape,
time would fly by so quickly! Haha.

6. Final Thoughts

Unfortunately, on this day,
I had an early schedule the next day,
so I had to return home that night. T_T
So, I don't have a review of actually sleeping in the bed,
or an opinion on the breakfast taste, but!

After exploring the Premier Twin room,
hanging out in the underground lounge, having dinner together,
and finally seeing the night view,
Ah... next time, I really want to
clear my schedule and stay overnight!!
That's what I kept thinking, haha.

While quietly relaxing at the hotel is great,
for those who want to explore the lounge with friends
and even enjoy karaoke,
it seems like it would be an even more enjoyable 'hocance' (hotel vacation).
If you're looking for a hotel near Seoul National University Station (서울대입구역)
with great room views and plenty to enjoy,
then

Hotel The Designers Seoul National University Branch
might be a great option for your next hocance! Haha.
Next time I go,
I want to relax leisurely in the room, which I couldn't fully enjoy this time,
while gazing at the night view! Haha.
