Xi'an, China, is packed with incredible sights like the Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter, and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. With so much to explore, I was on the hunt for a convenient and excellent value-for-money hotel in Xi'an that would make getting to these attractions a breeze.

This time, I settled into the Holiday Inn Xi'an. Being an IHG brand, I knew I could trust their standards for rooms and facilities, and it definitely didn't disappoint!

1. Location & Key Information

📍 Location: Directly opposite Jinguangmen Station on Subway Line 5

🕝 Check-in: 2:00 PM / Check-out: 12:00 PM

🏨 Booked Room: Standard Room

The hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location, making it super easy to reach major attractions like the Bell Tower and Big Wild Goose Pagoda by either taxi or subway!

2. Booking Your Stay

Since Trip.com's headquarters are in Shanghai, I found that booking China travel through Trip.com usually offers the best rates.

However, prices can vary based on ongoing promotions, so I always recommend comparing both options before you book!

3. Hotel Exterior & Interior

The Holiday Inn Xi'an High-Tech Zone exuded that classic global business hotel vibe—clean, modern, and utterly inviting!

Best of all, its proximity to Jinguangmen Station made hopping on the subway incredibly convenient.

The lobby offered ample space and comfortable seating areas, making for a truly inviting first impression.

Right next to the lounge area, they were also selling light refreshments and cocktails – perfect for unwinding!

4. Room Conditions

We opted for a Standard Room and were assigned room 1411!

The room itself was quite spacious, so even with two large suitcases, we had plenty of room to spare.

The guest rooms boast a clean and modern vibe throughout.

The room we stayed in was a twin bed setup, which would be perfect for traveling with a friend or a sibling!

While hotel room conditions can vary quite a bit across China, being an IHG property, the familiar room layout and bedding were very well-maintained, and we were super satisfied!

With two tables, the space was really convenient for doing some light work or just sharing a beer and chatting!

Our room had an open view of the city and roads, which made gazing outside quite entertaining!

Robes and an iron were also provided, and the mini-fridge was perfect for storing drinks or small snacks we bought.

A coffee pot with coffee, tea, and water are all standard, so keep that in mind!

The bathroom was kept incredibly clean, and they provided plenty of towels every day throughout our four-day stay. Just a heads-up: there's no separate bathtub!

Basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all provided, so you don't need to pack your own!

5. Breakfast

When exploring Xi'an independently, you'll be doing a lot of walking each day, so I highly recommend adding breakfast to fuel up before you head out!

Breakfast is buffet-style, offering classic Western options like cereal, bread, sausages, and eggs.

Beyond that, they also had local specialties ready,

which was perfect for fueling up before diving into my trip!

6. On-Site Facilities & Nearby Shops

The hotel also boasts a fitness center,

making it easy to squeeze in a workout even while traveling!

On the ground floor of the hotel, there's a handy little 24-hour convenience store,

which is super convenient for grabbing beers or snacks!

After personally experiencing the Holiday Inn Xi'an High-Tech Zone,
