✔︎ You prefer the convenience of filling it out quickly on your phone!

How to Fill Out the Form
⬆️ Official China Electronic Entry Declaration Website ⬆️
First things first, head over to the official Electronic Entry Declaration website.

While the Electronic Entry Declaration form often defaults to English, if it doesn't, simply select 'Language' at the top and choose your preferred language.

Once your language is set, proceed by selecting 'Entry Declaration'.

Carefully review the declaration notices, then click 'Confirm' to move to the next page.

As shown on the screen, confirm 'Ordinary Passport' at the top. Then, click the camera icon to register your passport and hit 'Next'.
However, if you are not using an ordinary passport, select 'Ordinary Passport' at the top to reveal various passport types, then choose the one that applies to you.

After registering your passport, double-check that your basic information is correctly pre-filled. You'll also need to enter your incoming flight number. Once you enter your flight details, the entry city and port will usually auto-populate.

You don't need to fill in a Chinese name. For your phone number, use your full international format (e.g., +1 for the US, followed by your area code and number). Although not explicitly marked as required, it's highly recommended to provide an email address to receive your QR code!
For 'Do you hold a valid visa or other entry permits?' select 'No' (for visa-free travelers).
For 'Entry policy selection', choose 'Visa-free entry'.

For 'Purpose of Entry', select 'Tourism/Leisure'.
Enter your address in China (your hotel's address is perfect here).
If you don't have a Chinese inviting organization or person, select 'No'.
Finally, fill in your entry date, exit date, outgoing flight details, and exit city according to your specific travel plans.

If you are traveling with companions, select 'Yes'. If you're traveling solo, like us, select 'No'.
After making your selection,

complete the signature process.

You'll then receive your entry QR code.

This QR code can be downloaded or sent to your email for safekeeping.
