Tucked away on the second floor of a building down a side alley, Spring Bistro isn't immediately obvious, but once you step inside, you're greeted by an incredibly charming atmosphere.
This Hapjeong Station restaurant is perfect not only for dates but also for more formal, intimate gatherings like pre-wedding meetups.

As we walked up the stairs, we spotted a 'Naver Matdongyeojido' (Naver Food Map) – something I'd never encountered outside of Seoul! It was so unique, I had to snap a picture.
Inside Spring Bistro

We arrived right at opening, making us their first customers. This gave us a perfect opportunity to quickly snap some photos before it got busy!

There was a variety of seating for two to four people, and even a separate section for larger groups. Each table had its own lighting, and if the ambiance was this good during the day, I can only imagine how romantic it would be at night. It's definitely a top choice for a first date or a special evening out in Hapjeong!

They even had a wine fridge, high chairs for little ones, and aprons available – thoughtful touches!

The cutlery really caught my eye! Even the side plates felt luxurious. I actually turned one over to check the brand and recall it being related to Thai royalty, though the exact details escape me now. Regardless, it was clear they paid attention to every detail, right down to the tableware.
Spring Bistro Menu & Prices

Spring Bistro offers a diverse menu, from salads and pasta to pizza, fried rice, steaks, and desserts! I actually took photos of each menu page, but due to reflections, I've used the one taken near the entrance instead. My sister also mentioned that the owner worked at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Paris for a long time, which made me even more excited to try the food!
Our Ordered Dishes Review

We started with warm, complimentary bread. It was so fresh that the butter melted right into it. The texture was delightfully chewy and fluffy, almost like ciabatta – absolutely delicious! It made me wonder if they bake their own bread.
1. Ananas Caprese
₩17,000 (~$13)

Initially, I hadn't planned on ordering this, but after seeing so many rave reviews, I decided to give it a try – and now I completely understand the hype! Seriously, if you visit Spring Bistro, you must order the Ananas Caprese. It's a fantastic combination of tomatoes marinated in herb syrup, pineapple, arugula, and buffalo mozzarella cheese. The dressing itself was incredibly refreshing! The tangy ingredients paired perfectly with the creamy cheese, making it an excellent appetizer. It was so good, I even saved some for later!

The fresh ingredients and creamy cheese blended beautifully, making it a perfect palate-cleansing appetizer. It was so delicious, I even saved some to enjoy later!
2. Mentaiko Aglio e Olio Pasta
₩18,000 (~$14)

As mentaiko lovers, my sister and I couldn't resist the Mentaiko Aglio e Olio Pasta! It came generously loaded with mentaiko (pollock roe), along with garlic chives, garlic, and chili. But what truly stood out was the perfect al dente texture of the pasta. We both commented on how expertly the chef cooked the noodles!
3. Spring Chicken Rice
₩17,000 (~$13)

While a full chicken steak on the main menu is ₩25,000 (~$19), this dish offers a more affordable way to enjoy both chicken and fried rice together. It features oven-roasted chicken, marinated in over 20 different seasonings, and it was incredibly tender – it practically melted in my mouth!
You barely needed any effort to cut through it, that's how soft it was.

I'd even exaggerate a little and say the chicken just dissolved. This is definitely a dish even picky eaters, especially kids who aren't fond of vegetables, would enjoy.
It also came with two delicious baby potatoes that reminded me of the ones you find at highway rest stops – perfectly cooked and flavorful!

We took a photo once all our dishes arrived, and the two of us managed to clear all three plates completely! If you're looking for a restaurant with a great atmosphere for a date, a first meeting, or just a delicious meal near Hapjeong Station, I highly recommend Spring Bistro!
