Lounge Clarimento Hapjeong Review 2026: Batch Brew & Vibes

If you're a fan of specialty coffee, you've likely heard of Clarimento (클라리멘토)! Clarimento has its main branch in Goyang (고양), and funny enough, I was actually headed to Goyang later for a Charlie Puth concert. But since our first meal was planned for Hapjeong (합정), we decided to start our coffee journey at Lounge Clarimento, conveniently located near Hapjeong Station (합정역).

This was our first stop on our Seoul (서울) and Goyang trip. It was my first visit, but my sister's second!

Lounge Clarimento Basic Information

Address - 1st Floor, 18 Jandari-ro 7an-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul

Operating Hours - Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM / Sat-Sun: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

It's just about 0.14 miles (221 meters) from Hapjeong Station (합정역) Exit 2, nestled right near the bustling Hongdae (홍대입구) area.

We walked right in, but it seemed the outdoor seating was quite popular with international visitors.

As soon as we stepped inside, the staff greeted us with such warmth and enthusiasm – it instantly lifted our spirits!

Lounge Clarimento definitely made a great first impression with their incredible hospitality.

There were four different types of coffee beans available to sample, letting you find your perfect aroma!

The 'Tap Coffee' batch brew is an absolute steal at ₩3,300 (~$2)!

My sister mentioned it was even cheaper on her first visit, but honestly, it's still an incredibly reasonable price!

They had three types of batch brew coffee available, but unfortunately, the single-origin batch brew isn't served until 12:00 PM. A little bummer for early birds like us!

Our order was taken with such friendly service, too!

Lounge Clarimento Interior

The space itself was spotless and inviting!

There's a bar area that seats about 3-4 people, but it was occupied, so I couldn't capture as many photos as I'd have liked.

You can also purchase capsule coffee, whole beans, and drip bags, so if you're a regular Clarimento fan, it's worth checking out their retail selection.

Lounge Clarimento truly lives up to its reputation as a 'sunlight spot'!

My photos don't quite do it justice, but the sunlight just streams in beautifully. The day we visited was so incredibly warm, I had to shed my jacket and bag almost immediately!

Seriously, that sunshine was no joke, right?

In fact, the guests who were sitting there actually moved to the bar seats to escape the intense rays – a little TMI for you! Haha.

There was also a convenient condiment bar stocked with napkins, wet wipes, water cups, and fresh water.

REST FOR TASTE~~ I was certainly in high spirits at this point! Haha.

They also had coffee-related books and lovely framed artwork that perfectly captured Lounge Clarimento's unique ambiance.

However, it did take a little while for our orders to arrive after we placed them.

Review of Our Order

We ordered the Iced Caramel Batch Brew and the Kenya Kamabindi Estate Filter Coffee.

The Iced Caramel Batch Brew was absolutely delicious, bursting with sweet and refreshing flavors. It was truly a delightful experience.

To get coffee of this quality at such a price felt almost too good to be true!

On the other hand, the Kenya Kamabindi Estate Filter Coffee's aroma wasn't quite to our liking from the moment it arrived.

After a sip, my sister and I both agreed it had a flavor reminiscent of ssanghwacha (쌍화탕), a traditional Korean herbal tea – definitely an acquired taste for us! Haha.

Interestingly, a couple at another table who received their coffee before us raved about the Kenya's aroma. I guess coffee truly is a matter of personal preference!

The staff explained that the flavors would become more pronounced as the coffee cooled. Personally, however, as it cooled, the herbal, medicinal notes became even stronger for me, quite different from the cup notes described.

To be honest, none of the filter coffee options particularly appealed to me from the start, but my sister insisted we try one of their brewed coffees, so we picked the Kenya.

In hindsight, for our tastes, we probably would have been happier ordering both an iced and a hot Caramel Batch Brew.

Since the filter coffee was really not working for us, my sister, Amy, decided to try mixing a little of the batch brew into the Kenya. And guess what? It was surprisingly much better than drinking it straight!

She called it her 'Amy Blend'! Haha. We used to shake our heads at our dad for always mixing different coffees when we went to cafes, so it was pretty hilarious to find ourselves doing the exact same thing!

And that brought our coffee time at Lounge Clarimento to a close!

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the cafe itself was clean and pleasant – Lounge Clarimento truly impressed us!

While the filter coffee wasn't quite our cup of tea, the batch brew coffee was absolutely fantastic.

Oh, and one more thing: there's also a basement area, so keep that in mind if you visit!
