My curiosity finally got the best of me, so on a recent weekend trip, I made sure to grab some Hanjeongseon mochi. I visited their COEX Hyundai Department Store Trade Center branch, and I'm excited to share a comprehensive guide covering the Hanjeongseon menu, prices, storage tips, and store locations. While I knew the Seoul Station branch offered traditional 'Bokjumoni' (lucky pouch) packaging, I was delighted to find that the COEX Hyundai Department Store Trade Center branch also sells these beautiful pouches and 'norigae' (traditional Korean ornaments) separately!

The wrapping colors in the photos above are simply stunning! Hanjeongseon mochi isn't just popular for its delicious taste; I think the traditional Korean yet luxurious packaging also adds to its appeal, making it a perfect gift or souvenir.

Among the offerings, the new Greek Yogurt Mochi varieties seemed to be the most popular. When I visited, the Mango Yogurt Mochi was unfortunately sold out. My taste buds were disappointed! 😭😭

3. How to Store Hanjeongseon Mochi

4. My Hanjeongseon Mochi Review

I ordered 5 mochi in total: two Fresh Strawberry and three Greek Yogurt varieties, adding an insulated bag for the journey home.

The mochi were packed almost immediately after payment.

However, when I got home, I was surprised to find only three mochi inside! 😱

Where were my Fresh Strawberry mochi?! I tried to call the store, but couldn't find a phone number to inquire. ❗ Always double-check your order and payment amount right after receiving it.

Fortunately (I guess?), I checked my card statement and realized I was only charged for the three mochi I received, so the two missing items were simply not added to my order. Still, it felt a bit disappointing to have waited in line for just three!

Despite the minor mishap, I couldn't wait to try the Peach Greek Yogurt Mochi. Each mochi is wrapped in a traditional Korean paper-like covering, with an additional plastic wrap inside for freshness.

The outer mochi skin is incredibly thin, soft, and delightfully chewy.

Inside, there's a huge, firm peach slice! The combination of the sweet peach and the Greek yogurt was fantastic, though I personally wished for a bit more of the yogurt filling.

Because the fruit is so substantial, it almost doesn't feel like you're eating a heavy rice cake; it's quite refreshing. While I'm not sure I'd wait in a super long line for it, it's definitely worth trying if you're passing by! It's not overly sweet, so I think even my parents would enjoy it.
