Stuck waiting for a table in Hamdeok? Discover Saganyang, a delightful cat-themed souvenir shop near Hamdeok Beach. Find unique, witty gifts blending feline charm with Jeju's vibe.

Ever found yourself looking for something fun to do in Hamdeok while waiting for a table at a popular restaurant or for your coffee order?
The area around Hamdeok Beach is incredibly popular, which often means long waits. Instead of just standing around, why not take a short drive (3-5 minutes) or a pleasant walk (about 15 minutes, roughly 0.75 miles) to explore a charming souvenir shop in Jeju's Hamdeok neighborhood?

Among the many Hamdeok souvenir shops, I want to introduce you to Saganyang, a place that will capture the heart of any cat lover. While most Jeju souvenir shops tend to focus on tangerine or Dolhareubang (stone grandpa) themed items,

Saganyang offers something a little different, with cats as its main theme.

I absolutely adored the cat paw-shaped box cutter and the phone stand featuring a cat stretching out in front of a laptop – they're just too cute!

Every single item here is both practical and witty, making it a joy to browse through. You'll find adorable cat magnets, keyrings, incense holders, and so much more.

They even have cute doormats adorned with cat illustrations!
It just so happened that I was looking to replace my doormats at home, so I seized the opportunity during my visit to this Hamdeok souvenir shop and bought one of each type. While it might seem like a shop exclusively for cat-themed items,
there's a reason why it's always on the list of recommended souvenir shops in Jeju.

They also feature items that blend Jeju's unique charm with cats, like the farmer cat figurine carrying tangerines.

Isn't that just incredibly charming? Seriously!

Beyond the cat items, you'll also discover scrunchies and even vintage clothing, making it a fantastic spot for friends or couples to pick out gifts for each other.

Saganyang, the Hamdeok souvenir shop I've introduced today, is located about a 15-minute walk (roughly 0.75 miles) from Hamdeok Beach.
Just step away from the bustling beach, and you'll find yourself strolling through a quiet village alley, arriving at the shop in no time!
It's the perfect detour to fill those 30-40 minutes while you're waiting for your restaurant seating.
While it might not be overflowing with traditional Jeju-specific items, if you're looking for a unique and affordable souvenir shop that stands out from the rest, I highly recommend stopping by!

I hope you have a delightful time discovering these adorable finds, as refreshing as Hamdeok's beautiful blue ocean!
It takes about 15 minutes on foot from Hamdeok Beach to SAGA CAT. By car, you can arrive in 3-5 minutes.
SAGA CAT is a souvenir shop primarily themed around cats. You can find a variety of cat-related items such as cat paw-shaped box cutters, cat phone stands, and farmer cat figurines carrying tangerines. They also sell scrunchies and vintage clothing.
