the usual operating hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM,
but during the peak season, they extend by an hour,
giving you more leisurely time to explore.
Here are the Gwangmyeong Cave admission fees:

paying just half price at ~$3 per person.
Q: Are there additional ways to get discounts? |
A1) Residents of six western Gyeonggi-do cities can receive a 20% discount: - Gimpo, Bucheon, Hwaseong, Ansan, Pyeongtaek, Siheung |
A2) Gwangmyeong residents with multiple children (3 or more) get free admission. Non-residents with 3 or more children under 19 years old receive a 50% discount. |
A3) Enjoy a 50% discount on admission tickets after using selected restaurants or cafes within the complex. |
If you're visiting from outside Gwangmyeong and want to save a little
on admission, I've compiled some discount tips in the table above.
Make sure to take advantage of them!

There are three ticket booths in total:
two located near the parking lot entrance and
a self-service kiosk closer to the cave entrance.
If you see a long line, head to the self-service kiosk
or the other booth further inside to save time!
Weekends and holidays can be crowded, so it's smart to plan ahead.
2. Parking & Fees
Gwangmyeong Cave offers three parking lots (P1, P2, P3)
with ample space, so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot.
Keep in mind that even if you pay for admission,
parking fees are separate.
It's also a pre-payment system at the entrance,
so have your card ready for convenience!
✅ Large Vehicles: ~$3
✅ Mid-sized/Small Vehicles: ~$2
✅ Compact Cars: ~$1
If you want the closest parking to the cave entrance,
P1 is your best bet for direct access.
3. Viewing Tips & Attractions

Essential Viewing Tips! Don't Forget These! |
Gwangmyeong Cave can be cool, so it's a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater. Even if it's scorching hot outside, the cave's interior is chilly. A jacket is especially a must for kids! The floor can be slippery, so wearing sneakers or comfortable, non-slip shoes is recommended for safety. |
Before you enter, remember the cave maintains a cool 54-59°F (12-15°C),
so bringing a light jacket or sweater is highly recommended.

Since it's cool inside, Gwangmyeong Cave is a fantastic
indoor activity, perfect for a date or a family outing,
even on a rainy day.

With plenty to see, including a Wine Cave and a cafe,
it's a hit with both parents and children.
