Les Mains Dorées: Where Desserts and Coffee Both Shine!
Before heading back to Seoul Station after catching the Charlie Puth concert,
my final stop was Les Mains Dorées, a fantastic cafe in Seoul's Gwanghwamun area!
Les Mains Dorées has its main branch in Seorae Village, and this Gwanghwamun location
is actually their second spot. And let me tell you, after experiencing it firsthand,
the ambiance of the space, the desserts, and the coffee — everything was just perfect.
It made me wonder why I hadn't discovered such a wonderful cafe sooner!
What really caught my eye was the 3rd floor, beautifully adorned with Fritz Hansen furniture,
making it a Gwanghwamun cafe that was a joy to explore.

Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll along Cheonggyecheon or looking to add a charming cafe to your date itinerary,
Les Mains Dorées is an excellent choice!
And get this — the entire building, from the 1st to the 3rd floor, is dedicated solely to Les Mains Dorées!
It's a really substantial space, which means plenty of room to relax and enjoy.
Les Mains Dorées Gwanghwamun: The First Floor Exploration

The first floor is where all the magic happens – your go-to spot for ordering delicious coffee and tempting desserts!

Even around the ordering counter, cozy seating areas are set up,
where soft music and gentle lighting come together to create a beautifully serene atmosphere.

From stylish bags and premium coffee beans to convenient drip bags, tumblers, glasses, and even socks,
letter paper, cold brew, and a whole range of other delightful merchandise were available.
And the best part? Their signature logo is absolutely adorable! :)
Les Mains Dorées: Beverage Bliss

Their beverage menu is wonderfully diverse, spanning everything from classic coffees to delightful non-coffee options and a lovely selection of teas.
The tea menu, in particular, really caught my attention.
They use teas from renowned brands like A.C. Perch's Thehandel and Magpie & Tiger,
which tells you they truly care about the quality and variety of their tea offerings.
As their "Coffee of the Day," they were featuring a delightful Fall Blend, so I decided to go for that
along with a warm Oat Milk Latte.

They even had a complimentary coffee tasting available, so of course, I had to try a sip.
It was so good, I immediately and confidently encouraged my sibling to have a taste too, haha!
Les Mains Dorées Gwanghwamun: A Dessert Lover's Dream Lineup

The dessert selection here is incredibly diverse, offering something for every sweet tooth!

Their madeleines and financiers, perfect for gifting,
are even available in charming gift boxes. Seriously,
imagine receiving one of these delightful baked goods sets – it would instantly brighten anyone's day!
I later discovered that Les Mains Dorées' madeleines are even offered as gifts to Gucci VIPs,
which, honestly, made me even more curious to try them!
Oh, I really wish I had tried a madeleine too now! ㅠㅠ Haha!

From tempting Chocolate Baguettes and comforting Sweet Pumpkin Cream Cheese Country Bread to flaky croissants,
alongside their renowned financiers, madeleines, and rich egg tarts,
There was a wide variety of baked goods, even scones.
The dessert would be great as a substitute for breakfast,
so I chose the pumpkin cream cheese country bread.
Les Mains Dorées Gwanghwamun Branch - 2nd Floor

Stepping up to the second floor, I found a completely different vibe from the first floor.
With a variety of seating arrangements available,
it seemed perfect for spending time alone, or for friends
to visit in a group and chat away.

And I couldn't help but notice the Fritz Hansen tags
on every single chair, which really caught my eye, haha!
While the second floor was lovely, the place that truly captivated me was
the third floor!
Les Mains Dorées Gwanghwamun Branch - 3rd Floor

The third floor was a space adorned with Fritz Hansen furniture.
As soon as I stepped onto the third floor,
I felt like I had walked into a Fritz Hansen showroom, haha!

Every single piece of furniture caught my eye,
and the entire space was designed with such an emotional touch,
making it wonderful to explore at a leisurely pace.

The lush green trees visible outside the window were particularly
stunning.
They're beautiful now, but I wondered about the autumn scenery when the leaves change color,
imagining how the atmosphere would transform.
It seems this Gwanghwamun cafe is also famous among international travelers,
as foreign guests came with impressive cameras
and were busily snapping photos, haha!

The third floor was also full of Fritz Hansen tags everywhere, LOLOL!
If you love furniture and interior design, beyond just enjoying coffee,
you'll find plenty of delightful things to see and explore.
Review of My Order

Gathering all the ordered items in one spot,
it was time for a group shot!
Enjoying delicious bread and coffee in a space featuring Fritz Hansen furniture
made me feel luxurious from the moment I woke up.

First up, the Oat Milk Latte!
The latte art was beautifully done, and my sibling took a sip,
exclaiming 'Oh!'
Thinking the coffee must be good, I also took a sip, and thought,
'Huh? This latte is actually quite nice!?'

Honestly, I ordered this coffee just to wake myself up in the morning, without much expectation,
but it turned out to be much more delicious than I anticipated.
The 'Coffee of the Day,' an Autumn Blend, was also very satisfying.
It was a blend of Kenyan and Brazilian beans,
and unlike a single-origin Kenyan coffee I recently had at another famous roastery cafe in Seoul,
which I personally found quite disappointing,
leaving me completely let down, the coffee at Les Mains Dorées was absolutely wonderful!!

Crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside,
with plenty of pumpkin and cream cheese,
the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Country Bread was perfectly hearty and delicious!
The portion size was generous enough for two people to share comfortably.

While enjoying the delicious coffee and bread, I looked around and discovered
the name of Le Mains D'or's owner written on
a super cute Fritz Hansen miniature chair! What a delightful touch!
I couldn't stay long because of my train schedule,
but I absolutely loved the space, and with such delicious desserts and coffee,
it truly was a memorable cafe in Gwanghwamun.
If you're ever looking for a fantastic cafe near Gwanghwamun or City Hall Station,
I wholeheartedly recommend Le Mains D'or!
Especially if you appreciate Fritz Hansen furniture and sophisticated interiors,
make sure to explore the second and third floors too!
