Guhalgu Cafe Jeju Review: Stone House & Cats

Why I highly recommend Cafe Guhalgu, a hidden gem in Woljeong-ri, Jeju, to fellow travelers:
It's located just a 1-minute walk from Woljeong-ri Beach,
and unlike those overly commercialized touristy cafes, it's a place where you can feel the true, authentic charm of Jeju.
The space is a beautifully renovated traditional Jeju stone-wall house.
Unlike common, modern cafes, it preserves Jeju's unique, rustic
and serene atmosphere, which I absolutely loved.
The interior is wide open and spacious, so it never feels cramped,
and the gorgeous Woljeong-ri seaside is just a couple of minutes away.
Plus, the owner has resident cats roaming around,
making it so much fun to just sit back and watch them,
and they have plenty of Jeju-inspired items on the menu, like green tangerine juice, fresh-squeezed mandarin juice, and Jeju matcha cappuccino.
I loved that they use local Jeju specialties in their drinks!

It was incredibly unique, and as a fellow cat parent,
it was absolute heaven.

The stone walls and ivy are absolutely stunning.
It instantly gives you that "I'm finally in Jeju" feeling!
As soon as I walked in, a sweet cat was there to welcome me.
There are spots outside too where you can sit, relax,
and enjoy your coffee.

After ordering,
I looked around and noticed another cat
taking a cozy nap inside.
The view through the large glass window
looks just like a framed painting—
it’s absolutely breathtaking.
You can also enjoy your drinks in this cozy space.
The traditional stone wall interior paired with the view
of the courtyard through the large window is pure healing.
It has such an exotic vibe,
almost like you've been transported to Okinawa
or some faraway island. It feels like a completely different world!
After ordering, we walked across the courtyard
to enjoy our drinks in a separate cozy area.
We even met another adorable little kitten!
This is a place where you simply can't help but snap photos.
I had to take one too!
The wooden accents harmonized so beautifully,
creating such a warm and cozy atmosphere.
The charming Jeju traditional house design,
the absolutely adorable cats, and
the delicious coffee made this cozy space
the perfect healing getaway.
