Discover why the Grand Josun Jeju Hotel's Deluxe Twin room is a fantastic choice for families traveling with kids. From spacious rooms to thoughtful amenities, it's a perfect fall getaway.
Quick answer
- Grand Josun Jeju is located in the Jungmun Tourist Complex, Seogwipo City.
- It's about a 50-minute to 1-hour drive from Jeju International Airport.
- The Deluxe Twin room offers two queen beds, suitable for families of three.
- Additional child fee (over 7 years old) is around ₩45,000 (~$34) for two nights.
- Kids' amenities like slippers, Mustela bath products, and extra bottled water are available.
Our recent family getaway to Jeju Island (제주도) this past fall was exactly what we needed! We spent 2 nights and 3 days embracing the autumn charm, though, to be honest, it turned into a delightful "hotel-cation" at the luxurious Grand Josun Jeju (그랜드 조선 제주).
With our 7-year-old, Melody, growing bigger every day, sharing a single double or queen bed just isn't comfortable for the three of us anymore. So, for this trip, we specifically chose the Deluxe Twin Standard room at the Grand Josun Jeju.
The verdict? Absolutely fantastic! Read on for our honest, self-funded review of this wonderful family-friendly stay.
Grand Josun Jeju: Location & Airport Proximity
📍 Grand Josun Jeju (그랜드 조선 제주)
60 Jungmun Tourist Road 72beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, South Korea
When planning a trip to Jeju, the hotel's location and its distance from the airport are often top priorities. The Grand Josun Jeju is perfectly situated in the Jungmun Tourist Complex (중문관광단지) in Seogwipo City (서귀포시), which is essentially the heart of Jeju's tourism.
Getting here from Jeju International Airport (제주국제공항) is a breeze, taking approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour by car or the convenient Airport Limousine Bus (Route 600).
Honestly, even though we mostly enjoyed a "hotel-cation," we never felt isolated. The area around the hotel is bustling with attractions and amenities. Saekdal Beach (색달 해수욕장) is close by, and you're just a short distance from The Born Hotel (더본호텔), home to the famous Yeon Don (연돈) restaurant, known for its incredible pork cutlets!
Deluxe Twin Garden View Room Condition

Our Deluxe Twin Standard Garden View room was incredibly spacious, measuring approximately 500 square feet (46.7㎡). With two queen beds, there was plenty of room for our family of three to spread out, unpack, and relax without feeling cramped.

Good to know: For children aged 7 and above, there's an additional person charge. However, for our 2-night stay, it was only around ₩45,000 (~$34), which we found very reasonable. Having two queen beds meant no one had to squeeze onto a sofa or an extra rollaway bed – it was pure comfort for everyone!

We were assigned a room on the 5th floor, which is directly connected to the lobby. This was a huge advantage, especially when traveling with kids, as it meant no long waits for elevators. We could easily access the lobby or the outdoor parking area.
While it wasn't a high-rise view, our garden-facing room offered delightful bird songs every morning, which was a lovely touch!
Kids' Amenities & Complimentary Water
Although I didn't manage to snap photos of all the amenities, the hotel provided adorable kids' room slippers along with Mustela shower gel and body lotion. You simply request these at check-in, and they'll be brought to your room. Even though we weren't in a dedicated kids' concept room, Melody was absolutely thrilled with these thoughtful touches!
A little tip: if you book a specific kids' room, you're also provided with a children's bathrobe, which would be super convenient for trips to the pool. We didn't get one since ours wasn't a kids' room, but it's good to keep in mind!

As someone who drinks a lot of water, I was planning to stock up at a convenience store. However, I learned that in addition to the bottled water already in the room, you can request extra bottles daily, based on the number of guests. This meant we didn't need to buy any additional water during our entire 3-day, 2-night stay – a fantastic perk!
Overall, the Grand Josun Jeju Hotel impressed us with its sophisticated yet clean ambiance, surrounded by lush greenery. It was a truly satisfying stay!

The Grand Josun Jeju Hotel is also known for its Starbucks and the popular 'Aria' buffet. Guess what? I visited both!
I'll be sharing detailed reviews of those experiences soon, so stay tuned!
