Last time, I went on a 'babymoon' trip to Gongju (공주) for 1 night and 2 days.

I had planned to slowly explore Gongsanseong Fortress (공산성) and truly enjoy my Gongju trip, but unfortunately, it started to rain.

While wondering where to go, I stumbled upon **Princess Picnic Cafe**.

At first, I just thought of having a cup of coffee and taking a short break,

but its surprisingly spacious outdoor area and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere left a deep impression. So today, I'm thrilled to introduce it as a must-visit spot in Gongju.

Princess Picnic Cafe in Gongju is located a bit outside the city center, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a tranquil atmosphere.

On beautiful days like these, its accessibility from not only downtown Gongju but also Sejong (세종) and Daejeon (대전) makes it a wonderful option for a weekend drive.

In seasons with great weather like now, many people probably want to spend time outdoors rather than indoors.

This place has a spacious outdoor lawn, which is great for kids to run around and also perfect for visiting with your furry friends.

That's why I wanted to recommend it as a must-visit spot in Gongju for those looking for places to go, for families with children, and even as a delightful date course for couples.​

Princess Picnic Cafe offers a delightful selection of coffee, beverages, and dessert menus.

You can also discover special menus featuring chestnuts, a famous local specialty of Gongju, adding a unique touch that can only be experienced during a trip here.

As it was a moment to simply relax during my trip, I enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere with a Gongju Chestnut Cream Coffee (공주밤크림커피) and an Americano. Thanks to the cozy and warm space, I was able to unwind comfortably.

The Gongju Chestnut Cream Coffee was a bit sweet, but I tend to value the ambiance of a place as much as the taste of the drinks, and in that regard, it was a very satisfying spot.

I visited on a weekday, so it was quiet and leisurely, but

It feels like a space that would be quite busy on weekends.

Just like the cafe's name,

you could feel the picnic vibe

everywhere.

The 1st and 2nd floor interiors were decorated

with a warm atmosphere,

and with a stove, it felt incredibly cozy.

The annex and outdoor spaces were also impressive;

with various seating options,

it was a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee

while appreciating the season.

I imagine many people would prefer to spend their time

sitting outdoors rather than inside on nice days.

There were also many great spots for photos,

making it perfect for a short break during your Gongju trip,

or as a wonderful setting for a family outing or a date.

It's a great place to visit after exploring

Gongsanseong Fortress (공산성) or Jemincheon Stream (제민천),

and it also comes highly recommended as a driving course

near Sejong (세종).

Although the rain changed my planned travel itinerary,

it actually led me to discover this wonderful cafe,

making it a truly memorable time.
