A Recommended Clean Business Hotel in the Yeongdeungpo Station Area

Hello, it's Baeji! (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)
Today, I'm sharing my review of GMS Hotel in Yeongdeungpo!
I stayed here alone for one night in Yeongdeungpo, and it felt very safe. It's a proper business hotel, not a motel.
I've included location and pricing details, so read on to snag the best deals for your trip! ꔛ

1. Yeongdeungpo Hotels
Yeongdeungpo is a bustling district with two major department stores and a lively bar street, meaning lots of foot traffic and a vibrant, sometimes noisy, atmosphere.
For this reason, I'd advise against staying in motels directly on the bar street — it can get incredibly loud.

So, when choosing a hotel in Yeongdeungpo, I made sure it met these criteria:
✔️ Quiet + Impeccably Clean + Within a 5-minute walk of the station
There's a Fairfield by Marriott hotel across the street, but honestly, it's not worth spending over ~$179 (260,000 KRW) for a staycation. I skipped it.
In terms of location and room quality, it wasn't much different from GMS.
That's why I chose the clean and quiet GMS Hotel Yeongdeungpo!

2. GMS Hotel

Unlike some other hotels, GMS Hotel has a 5:00 PM check-in and 12:00 PM check-out.
I usually wake up around 10:00 AM, so having until noon to check out was really convenient and allowed for a relaxed morning!

Reviews often mention the good soundproofing and quiet atmosphere, and its subway accessibility is simply unparalleled. Being so close to Yeongdeungpo Station (KTX and Line 1) meant I had absolutely no worries about getting around.
In person, the staff were friendly, and the hotel was indeed quiet, allowing for a comfortable rest!
Prices for 08/29/2026 - 08/30/2026
Platform | Price | Booking Link |
Agoda | ~$104 | |
NOL | ~$117 | |
HotelsCombined | ~$104 |
Agoda and HotelsCombined both offered prices around ~$104, similar to each other, though rates can vary slightly depending on the exact dates.
While you might not be familiar with NOL, definitely compare prices between Agoda and HotelsCombined to ensure you book on the **cheapest platform!**
Especially during the August vacation season, many dates sell out quickly, so I highly recommend booking early.
*Agoda offers free cancellation up to 3 days prior, so booking in advance is a smart move.

3. Standard Twin Room
I stayed in a Standard Twin room. You might wonder why I booked a twin room for a solo traveler, but rooms sell out every week, and this was the only one available... Luckily, I snagged it! 🍀

✔️ Street view, 215 sq ft (20 square meters)
✔️ One single bed, one double bed
✔️ Toothpaste and toothbrushes not provided, amenities available for purchase (~$1)
Honestly, it's a bit disappointing that amenities aren't free, but many hotels these days charge for them 🥹. I usually just pack my own when I travel.

GMS Hotel is immediately visible from Exit 5 of Yeongdeungpo Station (Line 1). It's a fairly tall building, so it's hard to miss.
Anyone who frequents Yeongdeungpo would recognize it.

My room was 407 on the 4th floor. The hallway was quiet, and it definitely had a hotel vibe.
You can store your luggage at the 1st-floor check-in counter, making it ideal for travelers!
4. Room Review
The Standard Twin room was spacious, featuring one double bed and one single bed.
While many Seoul hotels in great locations can be noisy, this one was quiet, allowing for a truly relaxing stay.

The beds were surprisingly plush, and after a full day of exploring, sinking into them was pure bliss.
The bedding was spotless and dust-free, which made a great first impression. With six pillows, I had plenty for my legs and for hugging!
Outside, I had a city view, looking directly onto the street near Yeongdeungpo Station.

Basic amenities were provided, and aside from a toothbrush and toothpaste, everything else like a hairdryer and kettle were standard.

The bathroom had hair conditioner, body wash, shampoo, and even a bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak.
The bathroom was pristine, with no water stains, and the towels were clean and fresh. ദ്ദി,,-`_´-)
Not only was the location great, but the room condition was excellent too. I'd definitely choose this hotel again if I return to Yeongdeungpo.
🌟 Overall Review
GMS Hotel Yeongdeungpo is a Line 1 station-area hotel, just a **5-minute walk away**, and its clean interior makes it perfect for travelers or a relaxing weekend getaway.
With many great restaurants nearby for a drink, it's arguably the best value hotel in an excellent location.
I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing stay in Yeongdeungpo!
