Fairmont Ambassador Seoul Review 2026: Yeouido's Luxury Stay
Opened with The Hyundai Seoul in 2021, the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul offers a luxurious 5-star experience with prime access to shopping and scenic Han River views.

The Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeouido, which opened in 2021 alongside The Hyundai Seoul, is a stunning 5-star hotel where you can savor magnificent views of the Han River from a truly exceptional setting.
Its unbeatable location right next to **The Hyundai Seoul** makes it incredibly accessible, offering shopping, dining, and entertainment all in one convenient spot. It’s no wonder so many travelers seek out this gem!
Korea's Inaugural Fairmont Hotel

Fairmont, a global luxury hotel brand that originated in Canada, was **acquired by the Accor Group in 2016** and now operates under its umbrella.
Known for its iconic properties like the Fairmont Vancouver and Fairmont The Palm Dubai, the brand often serves as a landmark in many cities worldwide!

**
The Fairmont Ambassador Seoul holds a special significance as it was **the first Fairmont brand hotel to open in Korea**, which certainly built up a lot of anticipation!

Fairmont Ambassador Seoul Room Types
Excluding suites, the main room types at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul are categorized as follows:
Fairmont Room (Standard Guestroom)
Fairmont Deluxe Room (Upgraded View)
Fairmont Gold Room (Lounge Access)
For my recent staycation, I opted for the **Fairmont Room**, the most basic room type, and I was surprisingly delighted with the experience!

First off, the room itself is quite generous, measuring **around 440 square feet (41㎡)**!
The room size and interior design are consistent across all three room types; the only differences lie in the view and access to the lounge, so keep that in mind when making your choice!
Fairmont Ambassador Seoul Staycation Review

Checking into the Fairmont lobby, you immediately get a sense of its trendy, chic vibe!
That distinctive red pillar wall, which extends from The Hyundai Seoul, is visible even from inside the hotel.

The first thing you notice upon entering is how wonderfully spacious the room feels!
My two close friends and I often enjoy **staycations in Seoul** together.
Depending on the hotel room's condition and capacity, we sometimes add an extra person to a double room and all three of us sleep on a king bed, or we opt for an extra bed, or even splurge on a suite.

At the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, even the standard room felt generously spacious, and the bed looked so comfortable that all three of us slept on the king bed without issue. It worked out perfectly!

The closet was also impressively large, almost feeling like a dedicated dressing room!

The bathroom was thoughtfully designed with a separate bathtub, vanity, shower stall, and toilet, offering plenty of space and privacy.
The overall interior, with its calm marble aesthetic, exuded a truly luxurious feel.

Fairmont Ambassador Seoul's amenities feature **Le Labo** products!

That **Fritz Hansen leather sofa**, perfectly positioned for enjoying the view, was incredibly comfortable! We definitely had a little battle over who got to sit there during our staycation.🤣
Even from our standard city view room, we could catch glimpses of the National Assembly and the Han River, which kept the space from feeling cramped. However, if you're dreaming of a wide-open Han River panorama, I highly recommend upgrading to the **Fairmont Deluxe Room**.

Our staycation this time was all about that **urban getaway vibe**, so instead of staying exclusively in the hotel,
we spent time shopping and exploring at The Hyundai Seoul,
then grabbed some delicious takeout from the food court and enjoyed it back in our room! 🤗

On a weekend, The Hyundai Seoul's food court usually requires a wait during lunchtime, and finding a seat can be a challenge. But **grabbing takeout** and enjoying it leisurely in our room was an absolute treat!

Honestly,
I often see the Yeouido skyline from my office, though not quite like this, so I wasn't expecting to be overly impressed.

But to my surprise, perhaps because of the beautiful weather that day, the sunset was absolutely gorgeous, and the **Yeouido night view** felt incredibly atmospheric and captivating!

Fairmont Ambassador Seoul: Key Staycation Highlights
While the rooms at Fairmont Seoul are excellent, the true highlight of this hotel is its superb location as a **new 5-star property in Yeouido**.
Being right next to The Hyundai Seoul makes it perfect for shopping, and it's just a short stroll to Yeouido Park or the Han River. This allowed us to **seamlessly enjoy both the hotel's comforts and the vibrant surroundings**, creating a truly relaxing experience.
Combined with the prestige of being **Korea's first Fairmont hotel**, it's definitely a 5-star experience worth trying at least once!
