Following up on my last dinner buffet review,
today, for those planning a family-friendly staycation
on the eastern side of Jeju with kids,
I've put together a review of the Ecoland Hotel pool along with some handy tips!
Jeju in Summer: The Perfect Family-Friendly Resort for Water Fun
When picking accommodation for a summer family trip to Jeju,
one of the most important factors for us was the swimming pool.
Since we're a family of three with a child,
rather than rushing through a packed sightseeing itinerary,
we wanted to relax and splash around at the resort,
enjoying a laid-back, leisurely staycation.
After comparing quite a few options,
we decided on the Ecoland Hotel, located in Jocheon-eup in eastern Jeju.
My searches showed it features an infinity pool, a kids' pool, and even an indoor pool,
and since it's right next to Ecoland Theme Park,
many reviews mentioned there's plenty of fun stuff to do with kids!
We actually spent 3 nights there during the peak summer season,
so here is my honest, detailed review of our pool experience.

It's in a great location for heading over to Seongsan or Hamdeok Beach,
so if you're planning an eastern Jeju itinerary,
I highly recommend using this hotel as your basecamp.

Starting April 1, 2026, pool access after check-out
is no longer permitted.
However, if you arrive before check-in (prior to 3:00 PM), you can check in at the front desk
and use the pool early. I highly recommend arriving a bit early
to kick off your trip with some fun pool time!
A Complete Guide to Ecoland Hotel's Pools
The Ecoland Hotel pools are completely free of charge
for all staying guests, with no limit on the number of people.
They are divided into indoor and outdoor zones,
consisting of an Infinity Pool (Adult Pool), Family Pool (Kids' Pool),
Indoor Pool, and Jacuzzi.
Altogether, there are four different swimming zones.
Since the water temperature and features vary by zone,
you can choose the perfect spot depending on
who you're traveling with!
Infinity Pool
Adults only (No children under 19 allowed)
As an adults-only pool, it’s famous as a picture-perfect photo spot
with a stunning backdrop of the lake and forest.
Adult Pool
Guests under 19 can enter with a life jacket
when accompanied by a guardian.
Family Pool (Kids' Pool)
A family-friendly pool where you can splash around with your children.
The shallow depth makes it super safe for everyone
from toddlers to elementary schoolers.
Indoor Pool
Heated to perfection, so it's less affected by the weather
and open year-round—even in the dead of winter.
Jacuzzi
There is also a warm, cozy jacuzzi
perfect for warming up after splashing around.
Sauna & Ice Room
Though the Ice Room was temporarily closed during our stay,
a hot sauna session
is something you can enjoy even in the middle of summer.
It’s an especially big plus
if you're traveling with your parents.
With four different pool areas plus a Korean sauna and ice room,
the pool facilities at Ecoland Hotel
truly show why this is a 5-star property
perfect for multi-generational family trips.
There are so many things to do right inside the pool area,
making it super easy to customize our day based on how we felt.
Our family spent the mornings at the indoor pool and afternoons at the family pool—
keeping everyone entertained all day long!

and kept nice and warm, making it the perfect spot
for families traveling with little ones.
More than anything, if you're staying at Ecoland Hotel
with children, you absolutely cannot miss this!
At certain times of the day, the indoor pool
offers a complimentary swimming lesson
program for kids.
If you're traveling with family,
be sure to sign up for this amazing class.
My child, who used to be a bit afraid of water,
warmed up so quickly while learning the basics from the instructor—
we were absolutely thrilled.
It’s not just playtime; it's an actual structured lesson!
You can get the exact schedule and registration details
at the front desk when you check in,
so I highly recommend asking about it as soon as you arrive.
Since prices for Ecoland Hotel vary slightly across different platforms,
I did a quick price comparison for you!

Infinity Pool Review & Photo Spot Tips
The outdoor infinity pool, reserved exclusively for adults (19+),
is the crown jewel of Ecoland Hotel.
While our child was having a blast in the indoor pool and kids' play zone,
my husband and I slipped away to enjoy some quality couple time
at the infinity pool, even if just for a little while.
With its gorgeous lake and forest backdrop,
the Ecoland infinity pool is one of the most famous photo spots in Jeju!
The lake and forest scenery feels incredibly exotic and tropical,
making it easy to see why everyone calls this
one of the best photo zones in all of Jeju.
Many reviews say the lighting is absolutely magical around sunset,
so try to time your visit then for those dreamy, golden-hour shots!
A Few Minor Drawbacks of Ecoland's Pool in Summer
The walk between the guest rooms and the pool area is quite long.
Depending on where your room is located, it can be quite a walk to the pool,
so carrying all the kids' gear (tubes, towels, etc.)
was a bit of a hassle. It might be a good idea to request a building
close to the pool when making your reservation!
Unfortunately, we couldn't make it to the night swim.
The reason? There were just SO many fun things to do
at Ecoland Hotel!!! haha
Spending quality family time in our beautiful room,
enjoying both morning and afternoon swims,
eating at the buffet, and exploring the theme park—
it was a non-stop, perfect Jeju itinerary all in one place.
Looking at other reviews, the night vibe seems completely different.
Next time, I definitely want to capture the evening view of the pool.
The last order at the pool snack bar
is at 7:30 PM (closing at 8:00 PM), which is a bit early.
Make sure to check the time beforehand if you want to enjoy some beer or snacks during your night swim.
Pro Tips to Know Before Booking
Due to environmental policies, Ecoland Hotel does not provide
toothbrushes and toothpaste, so make sure to pack your own!
During the peak summer season, the pool gets very crowded,
so it's best to grab a spot early in the morning.
While there is a snack bar and food stall by the pool,
the options are limited. I recommend booking the hotel buffet
or making other dinner plans in advance.
The Kids Play Zone on the G floor (09:00–22:00) is also
free for hotel guests.
It seemed best suited for babies and younger toddlers.

Tubes and sunbeds are available for rent at a fee, but they are quite reasonably priced.
If you are traveling in Jeju with kids or elderly parents
and want a more comfortable pool experience,
it's definitely worth renting them.
The outdoor pool area features a foot shower,
lockers, and changing/shower rooms.
While the shower facilities aren't top-tier, they do have a swimsuit spinner dryer!
Guests can also get discounts for Ecoland Theme Park,
so make sure to ask about them when you check in!
For programs with limited capacity, like the kids' swimming lessons,
it's best to sign up right after checking in.
A Summer Staycation in Jeju with Kids,
Would I Recommend Ecoland Hotel?
As a family of three traveling with a child, we were incredibly satisfied.
Thanks to the kids' pool and the indoor pool,
we could play safely in the water with our little one,
plus, the infinity pool gave the adults some much-needed relaxation and perfect photo ops.
The kids' swimming lesson at the indoor pool
was an unexpectedly wonderful experience.

Starting April 1, 2026, the swimming pool cannot be used after check-out. However, if you arrive before the 3:00 PM check-in time, you can register at the front desk and use the pool in advance.
The children's swimming lessons are free for hotel guests, but there is a capacity limit. We recommend asking the front desk upon check-in to confirm the exact operating hours and applying immediately.
The outdoor infinity pool is an adults-only area restricted to those aged 19 and older, so children are not allowed. If you want to swim with your children, you must use the shallow family pool or use the adult pool while the children are wearing life jackets.
Life jackets can be rented for free inside the pool area. Tubes and sunbeds are available for rent at a fee. There is also a shower room equipped with a spin dryer located outside the pool for your convenience.
Ecoland Hotel implements an environmental protection policy, so toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided. You must bring your own personal toiletries for your stay.
