Where to Buy Sanrio & Hello Kitty Towels in Seoul
Dongdaemun Market 3-Shop Price Comparison
I finally found the ultimate offline shops
selling authentic Hello Kitty towels right here in Seoul!
Recently, the Sanrio towel craze has been taking over Busan's Gukje Market,
but information on where to score them in Seoul has been surprisingly scarce.
Luckily, during a recent city stroll,
my Kitty-lover radar went off, and I stumbled upon these hidden gems.
Here is everything you need to know! ❤️

The holy grail for Sanrio towels in Seoul
is located right at Dongdaemun Market.
They are situated outside rather than deep inside a complex, making them super easy to find.
Even better, all 3 shops selling Kitty towels
are located just steps away from each other.
This means you can easily browse all of them,
compare prices, and snag the best deals.
Here is my direct comparison guide
based on my latest 2026 visit!

📍 Shinyoung Towel
Ga-20, 1st Floor, C-dong, 298 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul
This is my top recommendation:
Shinyoung Towel!
Unlike some wholesale spots, you can buy just a single hand towel here,
and they had the widest variety of designs and colors.
For the specific Hello Kitty design I wanted,
this shop offered the most affordable price compared to the others,
so this is where I made my purchase.

Hand Towels: ~$2 each
While they didn't have Hello Kitty in the smaller hand towel size,
they had a fantastic selection of other characters
like Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Snoopy.

Standard Face Towels: ~$3 to ~$4 each
For standard face towels, the Hello Kitty options were abundant.
They are divided into colorful, vibrant designs
and minimalist styles with embossed patterns.
Prices vary slightly depending on the design you choose.

Snoopy Beach Towel (Medium): ~$5
Hello Kitty Beach Towel (Large): ~$11
The Snoopy towels were incredibly cute too,
just look at those gorgeous pastel colors!
The medium-sized beach towels are absolutely perfect
to pack for a pool day or a tropical vacation, and they were only around $5.
They also run an online store, so be sure to check that out!
Keep in mind that online and offline prices
might differ slightly. I even spotted some
Pochacco designs online that I didn't see in the physical store!

📍 Seungju Sangsa
Na-yeol 20, Shoe Shopping Center B-dong, 307 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul
Just across the bridge from Shinyoung Towel
you'll find Seungju Sangsa.

Hand Towels: 2 for ~$4
Standard Face Towels: ~$4 each
Unlike the first shop,
this vendor actually carried Hello Kitty hand towels!
The catch is that you have to buy them in pairs.

The Hello Kitty standard face towels
were the same designs as the previous shop.
Here, the price is a flat ~$4 per towel.
Compared to Shinyoung Towel,
it might be slightly cheaper or slightly more expensive
by about fifty cents depending on the specific design!

Right next door to Seungju Sangsa is Samwoo Sangsa.
They also stock Kitty hand towels,
selling them individually for ~$2 each.
Their standard face towels are ~$4 each.

The Snoopy beach towel I bought for ~$5 at Shinyoung
was priced at ~$6 here.
Out of the three shops featured, Samwoo Sangsa
tends to run about a dollar more expensive overall!
Shinyoung Towel | Seungju Sangsa | Samwoo Sangsa | |
Hand Towel | ~$2 Hello Kitty: No Cinnamoroll, Kuromi: Yes | 2 for ~$4 Hello Kitty: Yes Cinnamoroll, Kuromi: No | ~$2 Hello Kitty: Yes Cinnamoroll, Kuromi: No |
Kitty Face Towel (Standard Size) | ~$3 to ~$4 Hello Kitty: Yes / Snoopy: Yes | ~$4 Hello Kitty: Yes | ~$4 Hello Kitty: Yes |
Snoopy Beach Towel | ~$5 | N/A | ~$6 |
Hello Kitty Beach Towel (Large) | ~$11 | N/A | N/A |

To sum up the three Sanrio towel spots,
the chart above has everything you need.
While the price differences might seem small,
getting a good deal always makes shopping more fun, right?
If you're a devoted Sanrio fan, make sure to save this post
and grab some towels next time you're exploring Dongdaemun!
They also make for incredibly unique and adorable housewarming gifts!
