Dongdaemun Shopping Guide:
Top 5 Hello Kitty Finds
1. Hello Kitty Monchhichi Keyrings

📍 Store: Nabi (Building A, #5170)
First up: Kitty Monchhichi!
The best part? They are incredibly cheap at just ~$2 each.
I've received so many questions about where to find these. Someone even mentioned they bought one at a boutique gift shop for ~$7...
For that price, you could buy three of them here! ㅠ ㅠ
They don't just have Kitty Monchhichi, either. There's a huge variety of other Monchhichi characters to choose from.
2. Hello Kitty Reusable Shopping Bags

📍 Store: Tinkerbell (Building A, #5087)
This is where you can grab a Hello Kitty reusable bag for a mere ~$3!
Beyond the classic Kitty designs, they even have Monchhichi crossover versions. The selection is fantastic.
Made from a lightweight, durable Baggu-style material, they are incredibly sturdy and perfect for actual grocery runs or carrying extra souvenirs.

In addition to the bags, the shop is packed with other Sanrio accessories.
I even spotted the viral Daiso Kitty pillboxes that were completely sold out everywhere else!
3. "Bolku" (Custom Pen Decorating)

You might think the "Bolku" (decorating ballpoint pens with cute charms) trend has peaked, but it is still going remarkably strong in Korea right now!
Every time I visit, the charms and parts get a major upgrade.
It's become a mandatory ritual for me to customize at least one pen whenever I drop by the Dongdaemun Shopping Complex.
If you want more details on where to find the best pen-decorating supplies, keep an eye out for my dedicated Bolku guide!
4. Kitty Magnets

📍 Store: marbly (Building A, #5097)
I stumbled upon these Kitty magnets completely by accident!
And naturally, the prices were super budget-friendly.
The standard Sanrio magnets in the center are around ~$0.50, while the Lego-style designs go for about ~$2.
Aren't they just the cutest things for decorating your fridge or office desk? 🎀
5. Kitty Towels
Previously, I hunted down and compared three different places in Seoul that sell Kitty towels.
Well, I just discovered three entirely new shops on this trip!
Let me share my absolute favorite out of the new finds.

📍 Store: Yeongshin Towel (Daeyoung Sangsa)
📍 Daeyoung Sangsa
Building B, Room 1305 (1st Floor), 266 Jong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul
This shop offers an incredibly wide selection of Kitty towel designs.
Plus, since it's located on the 1st floor of the Accessory Market building, it's super easy to pop into without messing up your shopping route.

Just look for the storefront pictured above!
Remember, it's on the ground floor.

<Kitty Towel Prices by Size>
Hand Towel: ~$2
Basic: ~$4
Medium: ~$5
Large: ~$11
Compared to other shops, they definitely have the largest variety of designs.
Their medium and large towels are actually about a dollar cheaper than competitors.
However, the hand towels and basic sizes run about ~$0.50 more expensive here.

The other two shops I found are located right next door, so you can easily compare prices and designs before buying!
And there you have it—my top 5 Hello Kitty shopping recommendations for all you Sanrio lovers out there!
I'll be sure to share more hidden gems as soon as I find them. 💛
