After an incredible journey through India, I found myself back at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi, ready for my flight home.
Traveling through India means embracing the dust and vibrancy, but the thought of a long-haul flight back to the US feeling grimy wasn't appealing. I started searching for shower facilities at Delhi Airport and thankfully stumbled upon Encalm Spa.
While there's more information about Encalm Spa available online now, when I visited back in 2025, details about their shower facilities were hard to come by. I even tried asking ChatGPT, but it only had outdated information and couldn't confirm if showers were available. Good news: you can absolutely use the shower facilities à la carte at Encalm Spa!
Encalm Spa is conveniently located alongside the Encalm Lounge on the second floor of Terminal 3. Once you've cleared security, just head up one floor via the escalator, and you'll spot it easily.
Encalm Spa Price List
As you can see from the price list, they offer a 'Spa Shower.' Currently, it's 1200 Indian Rupees for 20 minutes. I recall that back in early 2025, it was 1200 Rupees for 30 minutes, but since late 2025, the shower time has been reduced while the price remained the same. It's a bit of a shame, as 30 minutes felt more leisurely, and 20 minutes can feel a little rushed. Nevertheless, the facilities are clean, and honestly, being able to freshen up at the airport is a huge relief!
I paid with my credit card as I didn't have much cash left. Including the transaction fee, the total came to 1,416 Indian Rupees, which was approximately ~$15.
They also offer various massage services. If you arrive at the airport early and have some time to spare before your flight, it might be a nice treat. A quick tip: Indira Gandhi International Airport typically allows entry into the departure area only 3 hours before your scheduled flight departure. I once tried to enter about 6 hours before my flight after a trip and was denied, which was quite frustrating! I ended up working on my laptop at a nearby cafe for about 3 hours until I could enter.
Spa Facilities Overview
On the day I visited, it seemed quite busy, and I was asked to wait for a short while. I relaxed on a comfy sofa for about 10 minutes before being shown to my shower room.
Once inside, I found a private room, complete with a toilet and a well-appointed shower area.
First order of business: charging my phone! And yes, a hairdryer was definitely available.
They even provide a disposable toothbrush, toothpaste, and a bottle of water – thoughtful touches!
There was also a trash can and a convenient spot to keep my bag. After snapping a few quick photos (taking about 5 minutes), I had to rush through my shower in the remaining 15 minutes!
The feeling of cleanliness and calm after a refreshing shower was priceless. That ~$15 for a shower? Absolutely worth every penny!
Right at the 20-minute mark, there was a knock on the door, signaling my time was up. I imagine that when Encalm Spa first opened, fewer travelers knew about or utilized the shower facilities, but now, it's likely a popular spot for global explorers. Increased demand probably led to the reduced shower time.
So, if you're traveling through India and find yourself with a layover or a long wait at Delhi's IGI Airport, don't head home feeling dusty! Treat yourself to a refreshing shower at Encalm Spa.

As of the second half of 2025, the Encalm Spa shower facilities cost 1,200 rupees for 20 minutes. When paying by card, a total of 1,416 rupees (approximately ~$15) will be charged, including the service fee.
