Bloomrooms @ New Delhi Railway Station: A 2-Night Review
For my very first night in India, I decided to book a stay near Paharganj in New Delhi. I chose Bloomrooms @ New Delhi Railway Station, a property that has consistently ranked near the top of major booking platforms for years. Here is my honest review of its location, facilities, and what it is actually like to spend two nights here.

Bloomrooms @ New Delhi Railway Station is located about a 10-minute walk (roughly 0.5 miles) from New Delhi Railway Station. It sits on the opposite side of the bustling Paharganj main street, which is also about a 10-minute walk away.
Rates typically range from 3,000 to 3,500 INR per night, which translates to a very reasonable ~$26 to ~$32 USD. For this price, you get a remarkably clean, modern, and comfortable place to stay.

Because hotels right on Paharganj's main strip can be incredibly noisy and chaotic, Bloomrooms’ slightly tucked-away location is actually a major blessing for getting a good night's sleep. That said, getting here still requires navigating through a lively maze of rickshaws, motorbikes, and local crowds.

As soon as you step into the lobby, you are greeted by 24/7 staff and a secure, calming atmosphere. It feels like a true sanctuary for weary travelers exhausted by the dust, heat, and endless honking of Delhi's streets.

Like many hotels in India, you will be asked to fill out a physical registry book with your travel details during check-in. Once completed, they assign your room and provide the Wi-Fi password immediately.

On the way up the stairs, I noticed a filtered water dispenser. While buying sealed bottled water is always the safest bet in India, it is nice to have this option (though I personally stuck to bottled water during my stay).

This is the common courtyard area on the second floor. It is set up with patio umbrellas, making it a great spot to step out of your room and unwind for a bit.

In the morning light, the hotel's signature yellow-and-white color palette really pops. It looks incredibly bright, fresh, and clean, doesn't it?

Here is the interior of my first room. It featured a cozy single bed with their signature yellow pillows. The room was compact but very tidy—perfectly sized for a solo traveler, with great overall cleanliness.

A short set of stairs on the right led up to a small desk area and the bathroom. Note that room layouts vary across the property; I stayed here twice in different rooms, and this split-level layout was definitely my favorite.

I loved having a dedicated desk space to work on my laptop. They also provide a complimentary small bottle of drinking water. Booking Bloomrooms as my entry point to India left me with a very positive first impression.

The bathroom comes with one large towel, but keep in mind that toiletries are not provided. Since I always pack my own toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo, this was not an issue at all. The water pressure in the shower was surprisingly strong!
*A quick heads-up: A friend who stayed in a different room on the third floor mentioned that rusty, reddish water came out of their sink initially. Be sure to run the tap and check the water quality when you check in. If you notice any issues, do not hesitate to ask the front desk for a room change.

One of the best practical features of the room is the wall hanger setup. It is incredibly useful for hanging up hand-washed clothes to dry—something many budget hotels lack. There were also three power outlets, which was plenty for charging all my gear.

Five days later, after visiting Agra, I returned to Delhi and checked into Bloomrooms for a second time. Although I paid the exact same rate, this room felt significantly smaller, had only two power outlets, and featured a much tighter desk space.

The desk area was so cramped it was barely usable. It was definitely a downgrade from my first room, which was a bit disappointing. It goes to show how much layouts can vary on the same floor, but since I only needed a place to sleep, I made do.

If you step out onto the shared balcony near the water dispenser, you can look down at Arakashan Road. It is loud, chaotic, and dusty—not much of a scenic view, but a classic slice of Delhi life!
If you are looking for a reliable, clean, and highly accessible place to stay near New Delhi Railway Station and Paharganj, Bloomrooms is easily one of the best choices for international travelers. The staff speaks excellent English, and the entire check-in and stay process was completely hassle-free.
While you might occasionally get a smaller room layout or deal with minor plumbing quirks, it is incredibly hard to find a hotel in Delhi for around ~$32 a night that offers this level of cleanliness, safety, and modern convenience.
For budget-conscious travelers looking for a soft landing in India, this place easily earns an 8 out of 10.
