Pocheon's Pho hotspot, Dear Ngon,

is a real eye-catcher with its bright yellow standalone building!

Interior

As soon as you step inside,

you're greeted by a bright, clean space with green and rattan decor

that totally gives off a wonderful Vietnamese vibe!

Important Information

Apparently, Dear Ngon's pho in Pocheon is made without bean sprouts or onions.

We were told that leftover food cannot be packed to go.

We didn't see this notice and asked for it to be packed... and they kindly told us it wasn't possible.

Oops, so sorry for asking without seeing the notice!ㅠㅠㅠ

On the tables,

you'll find spicy sauce, Vietnamese hoisin sauce (pickled soya bean), and even pickles (!).

Even the small plates have a lovely Vietnamese feel to them!

They have set menus,

which seem perfect for when you're visiting with a group!

And the Chả giò (fried spring rolls) were delicious too!!

Here's what we ordered!

Ho Chi Minh Set

(Featuring Pho, Bun Bo Xao (Vietnamese Vermicelli Salad), and Vietnamese Spring Rolls)

Pho

Even without bean sprouts and onions, this Pho is incredibly delicious!

The kids' absolute favorite today!

The broth, simmered for over 10 hours from beef leg bones, is rich and deep,

and the Pho itself offers a wonderful charcoal-grilled flavor.

It's generously filled with tender meat,

and it's so soft!

Bun Bo Xao (Vietnamese Vermicelli Salad)

We changed one of our two Pho bowls to Bun Bo Xao, the mixed vermicelli salad.

It's a refreshing rice noodle dish, enjoyed with plenty of vegetables and noodles.

When mixed with its sweet and sour sauce,

it tastes similar to Bun Cha, but with a subtle difference.

Vietnamese Spring Rolls

The meat in the Vietnamese Spring Rolls is charcoal-grilled and absolutely delicious!

The smoky charcoal flavor is so good, you could happily eat just the meat on its own!

The Vietnamese Spring Roll vegetables come in a great variety,

and there's quite a generous amount!

The vegetables are thinly sliced, which made my mom say

she hadn't enjoyed Vietnamese Spring Rolls this much in a long time.

The rice paper was also provided generously,

and the fresh, finely-chopped vegetables made them

easy and even more enjoyable to eat.

The Vietnamese Spring Roll sauce also comes separately,

so you can enjoy as much as you like.

Bun Cha

Bun Cha is one of my go-to dishes when I have Pho, and the Bun Cha here is also incredibly delicious! T_T

They even light a candle underneath to keep the grilled meat and fried spring rolls (Cha Gio)

warm, so you can enjoy them slowly.

So thoughtful!

The Nuoc Cham sauce is also served generously,

It's fantastic with the veggies and noodles.

I actually enjoyed the Bún Chả and the Gỏi Cuốn (Vietnamese spring rolls) even more than the pho!

You can really see that these Chả Giò (fried spring rolls) are handmade.

These Chả Giò are absolutely a work of art!

At first, I thought they might be a little dry,

but then I took a bite of the sizable shrimp inside and dipped it in the Nước Mắm sauce, and wow, it was incredibly delicious!

Beef Brisket Salad

Here's a tip: You can get this Beef Brisket Salad as a complimentary dish if you make a reservation through Naver!

It truly felt like a complete, standalone dish.

Served cold, it's like a refreshing salad, eaten with plenty of fresh vegetables.

With so many vegetables, it's never greasy and always delicious!

Overall, this is definitely a pho restaurant worth visiting in Pocheon!

The staff were incredibly friendly,

the portions were generous,

and it's a place where you can truly enjoy fresh, healthy food.

Most importantly, the vibrant Vietnamese ambiance and delicious food truly stood out.
