How to Find the DDP Luggage Storage Lockers

First, as soon as you exit the subway station and walk towards DDP, you'll see this view on your right!

From here, enter through the door on the left and take the elevator!

Go through the door marked D1~

As soon as you enter, take this elevator on your left! Head up to the 1st floor.

Just for reference, this building is the Design Lab!

Once you arrive on the 1st floor by elevator, walk out to your left, and you'll see this screen! Face the screen and turn left.

Keep walking left, and about halfway down that hallway, you'll find the luggage lockers!
DDP Luggage Storage: Will My Bags Fit? What are the Fees?

I was visiting for the KIKINI Special Exhibition and my bags were heavy, so I really wanted to store them. Unfortunately, there was no way to store luggage inside the KIKINI exhibition hall itself, or within the DDP Museum exhibition area.

Many travelers, like me, arrive with suitcases.
Thankfully, there are various locker sizes, both large and small!
Especially useful for travelers like myself who need to store a large suitcase, there are ample large-sized lockers available.

Using the lockers is straightforward; just follow the instructions on the screen. But I bet you're curious about the fees!

The fees are structured as follows. I've summarized them in the table below!
Type | Small | Medium | Large |
Base Rate (4 hours) | ~$2 | ~$3 | ~$4 |
Approx. Size | Backpack, small shopping bag | Carry-on suitcase, large backpack | 24-inch+ suitcase |
Overtime Fee | Additional charge per 4 hours | ||
Payment Methods | Card, T-Money, Alipay, WeChat Pay |
After dropping off my bags, I explored DDP with so much more freedom and truly enjoyed the exhibitions! It made a huge difference.
If you've been hesitant to explore DDP or the surrounding Dongdaemun area because of heavy luggage, I highly recommend using these lockers!
Traveling without bags made for a much more satisfying experience.
What if you need to store your luggage for longer?

DDP's luggage storage fees are charged based on a 4-hour period, and if you exceed 4 hours, an additional late fee is applied.
For example, if you use a locker for 5 hours, you'll pay the base 4-hour fee plus an additional 4-hour late fee. (It's easiest to think of it as being charged for a total of 8 hours!)
Wrapping Up

Like me, if you've been burdened by heavy bags, DDP's luggage storage will help you enjoy your visit hands-free and have a fantastic time!
If you have any more questions, please feel free to leave a comment. I'll do my best to provide detailed answers based on what I know!
