The Dongdaemun DDP Baby Shark exhibit

is currently held at DDP Museum, Exhibition Hall 2.

We visited on Monday, August 31, 2026,

a group of three including my husband and our two-year-old son,

around 11 AM.

We went by car and arrived at the venue before 11 AM,

but we spent quite a bit of time

finding our way from the parking lot to the exhibition hall.

This place is actually much bigger than you'd expect....

After experiencing it firsthand with my two-year-old,

what's more important to confirm beforehand than the experience itself is

the parking location and the route to Exhibition Hall 2.

Instead of just making your Dongdaemun DDP Baby Shark reservation and heading out,

it's much more comfortable for the whole family

if you know in advance which direction to go

after you've parked your car.

Inside the exhibition hall,

my son spent the longest time dancing and playing

in the area with bubbles and music.

On the other hand, in sections featuring villains and loud sound effects,

he was even scared enough to hold Mom and Dad's hands.

In this post, based on our firsthand experience,

I'll cover how to get to Dongdaemun DDP Baby Shark, parking,

my two-year-old's actual reactions to the experience,

and even practical details like strollers, nursing rooms, and merchandise.

01. How to Get to Dongdaemun DDP Baby Shark

The DDP Baby Shark exhibit is located at

Dongdaemun Design Plaza

Museum, Exhibition Hall 2.

Here's a summary of how to get there by subway and by car:

If you're taking the subway,

from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, Exit 1 or 14,

enter the connecting passage and

follow the signs for Museum and Exhibition Hall 2.

There's also an option to enter through the M1 marked entrance from Exit 1,

take the elevator,

and go up to Exhibition Hall 2 on the 2nd floor.

If you're coming by car, park at DDP Parking Design Lab D,

then head towards Museum M, Exhibition Hall 2.

Alternatively, you can go through the B2F connecting passage,

exit outside, and then proceed to Museum M, Exhibition Hall 2.

From our own experience,

we ended up spending more time finding

the exhibition entrance after arriving

than actually getting to the destination.

We arrived before 11 AM,

but since we didn't know which way to go,

we spent a fair bit of time in the parking lot.

Moving around with a two-year-old and all our luggage,

even just a few minutes of wandering felt more troublesome than expected.

So, if you're looking for directions to the DDP Baby Shark exhibit in Dongdaemun,

I recommend not just checking the building's location before you leave,

but also looking up the path all the way to Museum M, Exhibition Hall 2,

in advance.

02. DDP Baby Shark Parking and Discounts

For parking at DDP Baby Shark,

you can use the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) parking lot.

The parking fee is ~$0 per 5 minutes,

and parking discounts may apply depending on your same-day purchase amount within the facility.

Discounts based on your spending are available,

such as up to 1 hour free for purchases over ~$15,

and up to 2 hours free for purchases over ~$36.

However, the actual participating stores and conditions

may vary on-site,

so it's always safer to confirm them again on the day of your visit.

There's also a notice that waiting times can be longer

during ticketing or registration on weekends,

so if you're visiting with children, it's a good idea

to arrive with plenty of time before your reserved slot.

Since we visited on a Monday morning,

we didn't experience the weekend waiting situation ourselves.

03. A Two-Year-Old's Immersive Experience: Starting with the Underwater World!

As soon as we stepped into the exhibition hall,

media displays unfolded all around us —

front, left, and right — right from the start.

Baby Shark family members appeared everywhere,

and with added sound effects,

it felt like we were being drawn into the ocean depths to begin our adventure.

Honestly, I went to this exhibition to show it to my son,

but as soon as we entered the first zone,

even I, as an adult, found myself curious about what would come next.

Rather than just passively looking at character exhibits,

it was more like an interactive experience where you move your body,

following the screens and music as you ventured further inside.

The exhibition space itself is quite large,

There was plenty of room to move around freely,

and moving from place to place

didn't seem to be a problem at all.

04. Favorite Spots and the Ones That Spooked Him

The difficulty of all the experiences

wasn't the same for my two-year-old son.

The place my son stayed the longest

was near the final section,

a zone where music played and bubbles floated.

When the music started, he would dance for ages,

and when the bubbles appeared, he was busy chasing them.

Even without any special instructions on how to participate,

he could see, hear, and move,

engaging with the space all by himself.

It was clear even a two-year-old could easily enjoy it.

Conversely, in the section where villains appeared,

his reaction was completely different.

When the screen showed what looked like lava,

and the villains' voices and sound effects kicked in,

my son would grab my hand or his dad's.

Slightly older kids,

following and stepping on the footprint shapes on the floor,

were actively participating in the experience

of defeating the villains.

Seeing that, it seemed less like the experience itself was difficult,

and more like the loud sounds and atmosphere were still unfamiliar

to our son.

If you're visiting DDP Baby Shark with a two-year-old,

it's worth considering how they might react to loud noises

or dark multimedia presentations.

If your child is sensitive to sound,

rather than letting them enter the first area alone,

it might be better to hold them or walk hand-in-hand together,

giving them time to adjust.

05. Stroller Access and Nursing Room Amenities

When heading out with young children,

besides the exhibit itself, you also worry about restrooms, nursing rooms,

and whether strollers can be used, right?

This time, these factors

didn't require us to alter our viewing route.

The exhibition space is quite spacious,

so even if you bring a stroller,

moving around didn't seem to be a big issue.

The place we actually used quite often

was the nursing room on the 4th floor.

Since there's an elevator available,

it wasn't too much hassle

going back and forth with our two-year-old son.

What really stood out in my memory, though,

was that there were diaper changing stations

in the men's restrooms too!

When a family of three goes out,

it really matters whether it's structured for only the mother to change diapers,

or if dads can also share the responsibility.

It turns out to be quite important on-site.

From a mom's perspective, these small conveniences mean

one person doesn't have to constantly be on baby duty,

making it a memorable and comfortable outing.

06. The Irresistible Souvenirs at the End

The exhibition wasn't over just because the main show ended.

Part 2 of where my son spent a long time.

It was the merchandise section, of course! lol

Rather than feeling like you were entering a separate merchandise shop,

the product displays stretched out along the exit path from the exhibition hall.

So, if you're visiting with young children,

it's not easy to just walk past without a peek!

Before we even started browsing, we told our son,

“You can look at everything, but you get to pick just one.”

Thanks to that, we avoided a major struggle,

but it wasn't exactly smooth sailing either, haha.

I naturally expected him to choose a Baby Shark plushie.

But, as expected from a child who loves cars,

he picked a product featuring Bebefinn and a car toy.

If you're planning to buy merchandise,

instead of deciding on the spot,

it worked well for our family to agree beforehand on how many items we could pick.

Having visited myself with my two-year-old son,

I found there were plenty of spaces for active, physical participation.

However, I think each child might react differently to the loud noises and dark media presentations.

I also felt that when he's a little older, he'll be able to directly participate in the villain experience he was scared of this time,

and if we visit again when he's grown a bit more, the way he enjoys it will probably change too.

If it were me next time, after reserving tickets for Baby Shark at Dongdaemun DDP,

before even looking at the ticket screen,

I'd first screenshot the parking location and directions to Exhibition Hall 2.

Especially if you're driving,

don't just check how to reach your destination.

After parking, be sure to check the way to Museum M, Exhibition Hall 2 before you set off.

Although I visited this exhibition firsthand with my two-year-old son,

when I booked the tickets, I couldn't overlook the price.
