its raw, untouched nature blended beautifully with cozy, aesthetic cafes—

and that's exactly its biggest charm.

From a mysterious coastal trail shaped like a rooster,

to a beach widely considered the most beautiful in Jeju,

​

and a massive forest-view cafe that draws crowds with just its scenery—

​

I'm excited to share a perfect one-day itinerary featuring these three spots!

Dakmeoreu Coastal Trail

A Hidden Coastal Boardwalk

​

Tucked away in Sinchon-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si,

​

the Dakmeoreu Coastal Trail

is still a relatively quiet, hidden healing spot.

​

This trail stretches about 1km along the shoreline,

​

allowing you to feel the ocean breeze up close the entire way.

​

​

​

The origin of its name is pretty interesting, too.

​

'Dakmeoreu' gets its name

​

because the coastal rock formations

​

resemble a rooster sitting down and digging into the ground.

Once you see the rocks in person, you can't help but nod in agreement!

​

It's also famous as a sunset viewpoint,

​

so if you visit towards the end of the day,

​

you'll catch a breathtaking view of the golden ocean and glowing sunset.

​

The small octagonal pavilion at the end of the trail is a perfect place to rest,

​

and from autumn to early winter, the swaying silver grass

​

makes it an incredibly popular photo spot.

​

For parking, you can use the nearby public parking lot or spaces around the village.

​

Even though I used to live in Jeju,

in all my years here,

​

I had never actually been to Dakmeoreu.

I can't believe such a stunning place was hiding right here!

​

Hello Namsaengi Cafe,

a lovely spot with a charming little pond.

Jeju Hamdeok Beach

The Beach with the Most Beautiful Ocean Colors

​

Hamdeok Beach, located in Hamdeok-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, is

located right next to Seoubong Peak (oreum),

​

​

which is why it's also known as Hamdeok Seoubong Beach.

​

It’s widely considered to have the most stunning water of all the beaches in Jeju!

​

With crystal-clear water and shallow depths, it’s a super popular spot for families,

​

and they even open at night during the summer!

​

This means you can enjoy the emerald-blue sea by day and the beautifully illuminated waters by night.

​

It's also designated as a dog-friendly beach.

​

You definitely shouldn't miss Cafe Delmoondo, located just a 1-minute walk from the shore.

​

You can sip on delicious coffee and fresh bakery treats while taking in the endless ocean views.

The swing outside the cafe is incredibly popular for capturing that perfect Instagram shot!

​

My recommended route: take a relaxing afternoon stroll along the beach, grab a coffee at the cafe,

​

and then head over to Dakmeor Coast at sunset to catch the golden hour.

​

Since they’re so close to each other, they make the perfect one-day itinerary!

It is incredibly crowded!

At Hamdeok Beach's signature spot,

Cafe Delmoondo,

a little sparrow made a surprise guest appearance!

This is a cafe I ended up visiting

on the recommendation of a high school friend living in Jeju,

and it turned out to be the most memorable place of my trip!

A massive cafe drawing crowds with its spectacular forest view alone.

​

Among those traveling the east side of Jeju,

​

the hottest trending spot right now is

Cafe Andor, a large cafe located on Bijarim-ro in Gujwa-eup.

​

​

It’s situated right in front of the

​

famous Songdang Mukkeunmoru tree frame photo zone,

​

so you can grab coffee and snap your photos all in one go!

​

Its signature feature is the forest view unfolding through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

​

No matter where you sit inside,

​

a lush, green forest stretches out just beyond the glass.

​

Many reviews mention that on cloudy or rainy days,

​

the misty woodland vibes actually make it

​

even more atmospheric and moody.

​

And seeing it for myself,

​

taking photos in the light rain was so fun and scenic—

I had the absolute best time snapping photos here!

​

The bakery selection is fantastic, making it the perfect spot for coffee and dessert.

​

It’s a "Yes Kids Zone,"

​

and pets are welcome too! Both families and pet-owners

can enjoy a totally stress-free visit.

​

​

For parking, you'll need to walk just a short distance after parking your car.

​

​

Usually, there's a long line winding down,

and you have to wait at least 5 minutes just to take a picture here.

But thanks to the rain, I was able to snap mine right away!

There was no line at all.

People even use this spot for pre-wedding photo shoots!

Morning to Midday: Enjoy brunch with forest views at Andor Cafe in Songdang, then visit the nearby Secret Forest

Afternoon: Stroll along Hamdeok Beach, followed by coffee with ocean views at Cafe Delmoondo

Sunset: Wrap up your day catching the sunset at Dakmeoreu Coastal Road

All three spots rely on natural beauty rather than flashy attractions,

making the untouched landscape the real star of the show.

and soul-soothing spots on the eastern side of Jeju.
