We headed here on a beautiful, sunny day to try their famous Jeju pork.

The Interior & Vibe
Originally, this charming spot was run by a local couple serving traditional Korean stir-fried pork (duruchigi) and local gulfweed soup (momguk).
They have recently revamped their menu to focus entirely on premium Jeju Black Pork and White Pork BBQ.
If you are unfamiliar with 'White Pork,' it is simply high-quality regular pork. Interestingly, Jeju locals actually eat white pork more often than black pork in their daily lives!
But don't worry—both options are absolutely delicious here.

Even though this restaurant has been open for 10 years, the interior is incredibly clean, modern, and bright.
With mellow pop music playing in the background, it actually feels more like a trendy cafe than a traditional smoke-filled BBQ joint.
They also have baby high chairs available, making it very family-friendly.

The absolute best part of dining here is the view.
To your right, you can see the majestic Baksugijeong Cliffs, and straight ahead, you get a beautiful, serene view of the distant ocean.
Eating incredible food in such a gorgeous setting makes everything taste ten times better.
Plus, the owners are exceptionally kind and welcoming, which made our dining experience even more special.
The Menu

They pride themselves on using fresh, locally sourced Jeju ingredients.
You can really taste the difference—the garlic was incredibly crisp, and the side dishes were exceptionally clean and flavorful.

While they don't serve traditional cold buckwheat noodles (naengmyeon), they offer a refreshing Kimchi-mari Guksu (cold noodles in a tangy kimchi broth) that pairs perfectly with the rich meat.

Jeju Black Pork Ogyeopsal
We ordered the 3-to-4 person set for ~$54.
The set comes with your choice of either Kimchi Stew (Kimchi-jjigae) or Soybean Paste Stew (Doenjang-jjigae). We went with the classic Kimchi Stew!
Jeju Black Pork is famous for having a tighter, more marbled fat distribution and a much chewier texture than standard pork.
This gives it an incredibly rich, nutty flavor and an explosion of juice with every single bite.
It is an absolute must-eat when you visit Jeju Island!

The grilled potatoes on the side were amazing, the garlic cloves were plump and fresh, and the lettuce wraps were crisp.
Every side dish tasted home-cooked and incredibly fresh.
To be honest, we went to a different black pork restaurant yesterday where the meat felt subpar and the sides were soggy...
But Daepyeong Babsang was an absolute home run. We were incredibly satisfied!

The Kimchi Stew was served in a generous portion and packed with deep, savory flavor.
It was the perfect way to wrap up a hearty meal before taking a relaxing stroll outside.
The restaurant is located very close to the best attractions in southwestern Seogwipo, including Sanbangsan Mountain, Yongmeori Coast, Baksugijeong Cliffs, Camellia Hill, and the Osulloc Tea Museum.
Since the Jeju Aerospace Museum is also in the same Andeok-myeon area, we highly recommend planning a day trip: spend your morning exploring the interactive museum exhibits, enjoy this incredible pork BBQ for dinner, and finish your night with a romantic sunset walk along the Baksugijeong coastal trail!
