Initially, I didn't have high expectations
because it was called "traffic safety education."
But once the experience began,
it turned out to be one of the places
my child spent the most time.
You can directly experience safety simulations
that are hard to encounter normally,
including crosswalk experiences, vehicle rollovers,
crashes, and earthquake evacuation.
The structure of learning through play keeps kids engaged until the very end.
After your visit, it's a great idea to also explore Hanbit Tower Water Light Plaza, the Musical Fountain, and the Hanbit Tower Observatory.

You can see how Korean currency is made and explore various commemorative coins,

It's a place where kids can directly experience and play with scientific principles.
If you also explore the Basic Science Museum,
you can easily spend about 1-2 hours here.
While it might be smaller than the National Science Museum,
it's relatively less crowded, which made for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The Play Science Museum is great for preschoolers and 1st-2nd graders, while the Basic Future Science Museum is suitable for elementary school students.
Since both exhibition halls operate with separate reservation systems,

The 1st floor of the Creative Narea Hall operates for free until August 30, 2026. It runs three times a day (10:00, 13:00, 15:00), and even during the free period, online reservation or on-site ticketing is required.
During the school semester, the Daejeon Mathematics Culture Center is open for free viewing only on Saturdays. Viewing hours are divided into two sessions: 9:30 AM - 11:20 AM and 1:20 PM - 4:40 PM.
Individual visitors can only use the center on weekends (Saturday, Sunday) and must make a reservation in advance on the Daejeon Traffic Culture Training Center website. The usage fees are: children/youth ~$1, adults ~$2.
