Sangso-dong Forest Recreation Area is a wonderful place to visit with children,
showcasing different charms throughout all four seasons.
In winter, it's especially perfect for families with kids thanks to its Ice Garden.

After parking, you'll pass the Sangso-dong Sledding Hill,
and after crossing the bridge, you'll arrive at the Sangso-dong Forest Recreation Area.

As soon as you step onto the bridge,
countless ice pillars immediately capture your attention.

The Ice Garden at Sangso-dong Forest Recreation Area is located right at the entrance,
making it easy to enjoy without having to walk far after parking.

Just stepping through the entrance, the forest scent and crisp, clean air instantly refresh both your body and mind.

The Ice Garden at Sangso-dong Forest Recreation Area
utilizes the surrounding stream water and groundwater
to create stunning ice walls and ice pillars,
making it a fantastic and unique winter date spot.

Unfortunately, this winter has also been quite warm,
so much of the ice has melted. ㅠ

The ground was slushy with muddy water,
and the ice itself was quite slippery,
so please be careful when exploring.
Even on the day of my visit, many people, both children and adults, were slipping and falling.

While last year the entire area was an Ice Garden completely covered in ice,
this year, they've created individual ice mountains around each stone tower.

If you step right into the center and take a photo,
you can capture beautiful pictures surrounded by ice. Haha!
Since the weather is warm, the ice is melting and becoming quite slippery.
You need to be especially careful when climbing up to take photos.

Also, since water is constantly spraying from the top of the ice pillars,
you might get hit by water while taking pictures;;
It would be good if you could prepare waterproof clothing.

With water constantly spraying,
and the ice melting,
as you walk along the path,
you'll encounter muddy sections,
as well as frozen, icy patches.
So, definitely don't wear your favorite shoes~~~
Please wear safe footwear.

Although it feels a bit smaller in scale than last year,
you can still enjoy the ice hill for free,
making it a wonderful option for a leisurely walk, a family outing, or a romantic date.

If you look closely, the ice grains,
and ice crystals are absolutely stunning.
They're soft and transparent,
making both the kids and me exclaim how beautiful they were over and over again.

The ice fragments sparkling in the sunlight shone like jewels, truly beautiful.

When taking photos, entry to the left side is not possible,
and you can only enter the center right to take pictures.

Looking at this ice sculpture,
the kids called it a heart ice,
while I called it a tooth! Haha.

The ice sculptures were constantly melting..;;
It seems warm weather in winter can also be a problem.

To the left, instead of the ice hill,
you can also find the stone pagoda, a signature landmark of Sangsodong Forest Bathing Area.

An air gun is provided on one side,
allowing you to brush off dust from your body or feet before and after your walk.
Further back, a well-maintained walking trail is also established,
so you can enjoy a forest walk after spending time at the ice hill.
On this visit, the kids wanted to go sledding, so we postponed the forest walk for another time.

Water continuously sprays from the top of the ice pillars,
adding the sparkle of water shimmering in the sunlight,
We were able to see an even more fantastic and beautiful sight.
