Hotel Interciti Daejeon Review: Is the Breakfast Buffet Worth It in 2026?

Daejeon Hotel Interciti (대전 호텔인터시티),

it's quite a well-known hotel in Daejeon.

The 16th-floor The Scratch Buffet (더스크래치 뷔페)

is a popular spot for family gatherings and first birthday parties.

In 2017, it was the first hotel in the Chungcheong region (충청권)

to receive a 4-star rating,

and in 2023, even the guest rooms were newly renovated.

It's famous for its buffet,

so you might be curious what it's like to stay there.

From room size to the differences between breakfast and lunch buffets,

this is a review of my stay and dining experience.

Daejeon Hotel Interciti (대전 호텔인터시티) Deluxe,

How spacious are the rooms?

The hotel is about a 7-minute walk

from Exit 7 of Yuseong Oncheon Station (유성온천역).

The room I stayed in was a 15th-floor Deluxe Double Prime,

measuring 36㎡.

The biggest advantage of this room is its size.

Between the bed and the TV,

it's spacious enough for another bed!

The bathroom was also great.

The bathtub, in particular, was impeccably clean.

Many hotels have bathtubs that are too dirty to use,

but here, you could immediately draw a bath.

The slippers and robes were also nice.

The room comes with two bottles of water, Starbucks coffee,

and organic tea.

Toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so remember to bring your own.

Hotel Interciti (호텔인터시티) Breakfast Price and Menu

Breakfast is served at The Scratch Buffet on the 16th floor.

- Time: 7 AM ~ 10 AM

- Adults ₩39,000 (~$29) / Children ₩20,000 (~$15)

- Children under 60 months are free.

They are currently offering discounts for pregnant women and students preparing for exams.

Please keep this in mind.

The breakfast is truly delicious.

What's the difference between the breakfast and lunch buffets?

I also tried the lunch buffet.

To get straight to the point, they're not *that* different.

The prices differ as follows:

Breakfast: ₩39,000 (~$29)

Weekday: ₩75,000 (~$55)

Weekend: ₩122,000 (~$90)

Breakfast includes yogurt.

Lunch offers more sushi, sashimi, galbi, shrimp, and bread.

Additionally, at lunch, a barista

makes drip coffee or lattes on the spot.

You can buy those beans as drip bags

at The Lounge (더라운지) on the 1st floor.

The rest of the menu is quite similar.

That's why the breakfast at ₩39,000 (~$29)

felt like a better value!

Where to Book for the Best Price?

Comparing rooms on the same day,

a Deluxe room with a bathtub was

₩49,560 (~$36) more expensive than a Standard room.

Adding breakfast for one person costs an extra ₩38,940 (~$29),

but it's ₩39,000 (~$29) if you buy it on-site.

So, there's no disadvantage to not adding breakfast in advance.

Are there hot springs, saunas, or swimming pools?

There are no saunas or swimming pools inside the hotel.

Instead, the water comes out wonderfully warm!

The bathtub is clean, so

it's perfect for drawing a bath and soaking your body.

Right in front of the hotel, there's a free foot bath area.

Even when I visited, people were

soaking their feet and truly enjoying themselves.

Daejeon Hotel Interciti Parking

Parking is free for one car per room.

If you park an additional car, it's ₩20,000 (~$15).

There are also two slow electric vehicle chargers available.

However, the parking lot is a bit narrow,

so driving was a little challenging.
