Danang Fast Track
Starting your vacation quickly and comfortably with Vietnam's airport fast track service is, frankly, a game-changer. You truly understand its value once you've endured the hassle of long immigration queues. That's why, ever since my first experience, I never travel without booking it!
My initial 'aha!' moment was in Ho Chi Minh City, but since then, I always pre-book for any destination. Let's take a look at the immigration lines I encountered on my recent trip to Da Nang (you can see the queues in the photo above) and explore how these services work.

Da Nang Airport Fast Track
The primary purpose of the fast track service is to help you skip those notorious long lines. Without it, you might find yourself rushing off the plane, even skipping a restroom break, just to get a spot in the queue. With fast track, there's absolutely no need for that frantic dash because your waiting time will be minimal.

If you've pre-booked, you'll spot staff holding placards with names on them, usually before you even reach the main immigration area. Simply find your name, say "That's me!", and they'll guide you directly to a dedicated lane.
Once you've breezed through immigration, you can calmly head to baggage claim, check your phone, and wait for your luggage. If you're traveling with just a carry-on, you can head straight into the city without any delays!

Where to Book? Price Comparison
Unlike tours with varying itineraries or services, fast track providers essentially offer the same core service. The main difference often comes down to price, so it usually makes sense to book with the most affordable option.

There are two main things to consider:
First, do you need it for arrival only or for departure as well? Traditionally, I've only used fast track for arrivals, as you can always go to the airport early for departures. However, currently, many providers offer round-trip options where the price difference isn't substantial. In such cases, I often opt for the round-trip for added convenience on departure.
Second, consider the service tiers.
It used to be just one standard fast track service, but now there are typically 'Standard' and 'Premium' options. (There are also VVIP options that might include lounge access, but from a pure fast track perspective, these aren't always necessary.) The standard option used to be sufficient, but with its growing popularity, a premium tier has emerged for those seeking an even quicker experience.
If you're unlucky and many fast track users arrive at once, you might still experience a slight wait with the standard option. However, choosing the premium tier almost guarantees no waiting time in most situations.

Da Nang Airport Pickup Service

Once you've cleared immigration, your next step is getting from Da Nang Airport to your city accommodation. These days, very few people rely solely on taxis; most either use ride-hailing apps like Grab or pre-book a Da Nang airport pickup service.
Again, there isn't a huge difference between providers for this service, leaving you with two main choices:
First, book your pickup with the same company you used for the fast track service. The advantage here is the sheer convenience of a single booking. Plus, depending on the provider, a staff member might even wait for you after immigration and escort you directly to your vehicle.
The second option is to simply find the cheapest available pickup service.

Ultimately, it boils down to whether you prefer to save a few dollars by doing a bit more research or prioritize the ease and convenience of a combined booking. I've already done the legwork for you and compiled the best options below, so all you have to do is choose!

After your flight lands and before lining up, look for a staff member holding a sign and confirm your name. The staff will guide you to a dedicated lane, allowing you to complete immigration quickly without waiting.
With the standard option, there may be a slight wait if there are many fast track bookings. The premium option, on the other hand, allows you to proceed through immigration even faster without waiting in most situations.
Not only is it convenient to book them together, but the staff will also wait until you finish immigration and personally guide you to the vehicle boarding area. This makes the process of moving from the airport to the city much smoother.
