No trip to Da Nang is complete without a visit to Bana Hills. It's famous for iconic photo ops at the Golden Bridge, but what about the magic of Bana Hills at night? As a travel blogger who's explored quite a bit, I've learned that destinations often offer completely different experiences during the day versus after dark. My curiosity about a Bana Hills night tour had been growing for ages, so on my most recent trip to Da Nang, I made it a priority to plan my itinerary around it. And I finally did it!
1. Why Choose Day or Night?

**Why visit during the day?**
To experience Bana Hills 'in its entirety'. The night offers a unique charm, but to truly appreciate that 'different' allure, it helps to have experienced the original. Without a daytime visit, the night's appeal is simply 'charm', not a 'different charm'. While the night Bana Hills is undoubtedly beautiful and captivating on its own, it can feel a bit rushed, and many attractions close after sunset. So, to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Bana Hills, I’d recommend a daytime visit first, and then explore it by night on a subsequent trip.

**Why visit at night?**
First and foremost, it's wonderfully peaceful. During the day, you're constantly navigating through crowds. Cable cars are often packed, but at night, you might even get a cabin all to yourself! It's much more comfortable to explore, and the French-style buildings truly come alive with dazzling lights. The arcade center is also surprisingly quiet. When I visited during the day, it was so crowded I didn't even bother looking, but at night, you can enjoy it at your leisure. Even the Alpine Coaster has little to no wait time!

2. How to Get to Bana Hills from Da Nang (Shuttle Bus)

There's a convenient shuttle bus service from Da Nang to Bana Hills. It departs from downtown at 2:00 PM.
📍 SunWorld Da Nang Asia Park
Đ. 2 Tháng 9, Hoà Cường Bắc, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng 550000 Vietnam
📍 Bana Hills
Thôn An Sơn, Hòa Vang, Da Nang, Vietnam
Just head to SunWorld Da Nang Asia Park! You'll spot the shuttle bus sign, and that's where the bus picks up passengers.

You can also take this shuttle back, but I'll cover the return journey details, including where and how to catch it, and some important warnings, a bit later.

3. Enjoying Da Nang Bana Hills at Night
Since I've already touched on why you should choose a night visit, this section will focus on the specific delights you can enjoy, like the SunCraft Beer, evening buffet, and performances.

For the evening buffet, head to Beer Plaza. The food selection is surprisingly extensive and varied. I particularly enjoyed the live BBQ station, which offered a good variety of meats, so I mostly focused on that.

You can exchange the coupon you received upon entry for a beer – either one large glass or two smaller ones.

There’s ongoing live entertainment outside while you dine, and a separate scheduled indoor performance. Note that the indoor show is for adults, so children are not permitted.

The final performance starts around 6:30 PM and lasts about 20 minutes. Afterward, you can even take photos with the performers. Once things wind down, the performers often mingle around the buffet area, putting on mini-shows and interacting with guests. It’s a fun, participatory experience for everyone, from adults to kids, but if you're planning to take the shuttle bus back, you absolutely need to keep a close eye on the time.
The shuttle buses depart at 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM, while the last cable cars leave at 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Here’s the catch: the cable car ride down takes about 20 minutes. But the distance from where the cable car drops you off to the shuttle bus stop is incredibly long! I had to walk, then jog, and finally sprint at full speed to make it. I barely arrived in about 30 minutes. Honestly, while I was running, I thought, 'This is ridiculous!' Not everyone can sprint, especially families with young children or elderly parents. It seemed impossible to make those times. As it turned out, the bus didn't arrive exactly at 8:30 PM; it came a bit later. When I asked a staff member, they said it was scheduled for 8:35 PM (but even 35 minutes is a tight squeeze!).
4. How to Return to Da Nang from Bana Hills

The shuttle bus pick-up point for the return journey is the same spot where you were dropped off. You can't miss it, as it's typically the only place where a crowd gathers at that hour.
Now, here's the important part: while there was no ticket check for the shuttle on the way *to* Bana Hills, they do check tickets for the return journey. It wasn't for everyone in the crowd, but they started checking about halfway through boarding. This is because there are separate paid shuttle tickets available. That's why I specifically chose Klook for my booking. Klook explicitly states that the shuttle bus is included, so if they check, I can confidently say, 'It's included here.' And indeed, when they checked my ticket, showing my Klook booking got me through. Other platforms didn't mention the shuttle bus, which made me hesitate, so I'm glad I went with Klook. Initially, I thought it was a free shuttle since there were no checks on the way up, but that wasn't the case.

**+ An update while writing this post (as of July 2026):**
For accuracy, I cross-checked, and other platforms now also mention shuttle services. So, you can likely take them. However, since they don't feature shuttle bus photos like Klook does, I still believe Klook might be easier for communicating with staff if needed. Even at the 2:00 PM boarding spot, I only saw Klook logos.
Klook offers separate options for day and night tours.

While this post compares the Bana Hills day and night experiences, I've focused primarily on the night tour since that was my recent adventure. If this is your first time visiting Bana Hills in Da Nang, I personally recommend going during the day. For a second visit or more, the night tour is a fantastic choice!
