Cuisine R Yeouido Review 2026: Burrata Salad & Calamari Pasta
Craving delicious pasta in Yeouido? Discover Cuisine R, a hidden gem recommended by locals, serving exquisite burrata cheese salad and signature calamari pasta. A must-try in 2026!

Craving some truly delicious pasta in Yeouido, Seoul, I decided to finally visit Cuisine R, a restaurant that a former colleague had highly recommended and I'd saved for a special occasion!

You'll find Cuisine R conveniently located on the second floor of the Baeksang Building, right behind the Yeouido Post Office, near Exit 5 of Yeouido Station. Just look for the Seven-Eleven on the ground floor!
📍 Cuisine R
202~203, 2F, Baeksang Building, 30 Gukjegeumyung-ro 6-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, South Korea
There's both a staircase and an elevator, but since it's only on the second floor, we opted for the stairs.

After ascending the stairs, you'll immediately spot the entrance to Cuisine R :)

Operating hours are from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with a break time from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. (Closed on Sundays for regular maintenance.)

I visited after making a 12:30 PM reservation, and the place was packed! Walk-ins faced a considerable wait, so booking ahead is definitely recommended.

The walls are adorned with signatures from various celebrities and well-known figures!
PSY's autograph particularly caught my eye – a fun touch!

I was eyeing the window seats with their refreshing view of the green trees outside, but since the restaurant was fully booked, we were guided to a quieter, more intimate table further inside.

The advantage of this secluded spot near the entrance was its cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed conversation! :)
Cuisine R Menu Highlights

Cuisine R's menu primarily features steaks, salads, pasta, risotto, and pizza.
During lunch, steak dishes aren't available, but you can choose from salads, pasta, risotto, and pizza.
We were two friends dining together and ordered:

We were promptly presented with a simple table setting, wet wipes, and warm, freshly baked bread.

The freshly baked bread was wonderfully thick and comforting, perfect for whetting our appetites.

The sauce served with the bread was particularly delicious.
Typically, you get balsamic vinegar with bread, but this looked special. When I asked, the chef revealed it's a special homemade balsamic sauce crafted with 18 different ingredients – talk about dedication!

Given how busy the restaurant was, I expected a long wait for our food, but it arrived surprisingly quickly! 😉
First up was the Burrata Cheese Salad.
This salad is a dream for anyone who loves fresh, vibrant flavors! It features a zesty apricot dressing, crisp arugula, cherry tomatoes, green and black olives, mango, and pistachios – a truly delightful combination!

The burrata cheese, topped with Grana Padano and more pistachios, offered a delightful creamy and nutty combination that was simply fantastic.
Who knew the burrata cheese and pistachio combination was such a dynamic duo? 🤭

Next, the eagerly anticipated main course: the Calamari Pasta!
We eagerly ordered this, described as Cuisine R's signature squid ink pasta, and it absolutely lived up to the hype!
The tender, perfectly cooked calamari paired beautifully with the rich, oil-based squid ink sauce.

Here, the addition of hijiki seaweed was a distinct highlight!
The occasional crisp texture from the seaweed added a wonderful, diverse element to each bite.☺️
Overall, it's a dish brimming with the flavors and textures of the sea, making it a highly recommended choice for any seafood pasta lover.

We finished our satisfying meal and left around 1:30 PM. True to its reputation as a popular Yeouido spot, the restaurant was just starting to clear out a bit then (with their break time starting at 2:00 PM!).
Before heading out, I took a quick look at the other seating areas.
My top pick remains the window seats, offering a refreshing view of the lush green trees outside!
If you're a party of 3-4, I'd suggest requesting a window table when you make your reservation.
There are also private tables tucked away deeper inside the restaurant.

Having worked in Yeouido for quite some time, I can tell you that while there are plenty of traditional Korean eateries, truly great pasta spots are surprisingly rare.
I'd heard good things about Cuisine R for a while, and now having finally visited, I can wholeheartedly declare it a top-tier pasta restaurant in Yeouido!
I'll definitely be making another reservation the next time I'm craving delicious pasta here.
