is bound to be great value for money, at around ₩40,000 (~$30).

From the entrance, it might look like there aren't many seats,
making you wonder if you'll find a spot,
but once you head inside, you'll discover a spacious dining area.

I visited around 8 AM, and it was quite bustling.
It was clear that there was a high proportion of international guests,
as well as many families and solo travelers.
It seems that this hotel is renowned for its value-for-money breakfast in the Yeongdeungpo (영등포) area,
which explains why so many international visitors seek it out!

02. Breakfast Buffet Menu Information

The menu selection can vary daily
depending on the season and operational circumstances, but here's what was available at the breakfast buffet on the day I visited:
Category | Menu Items |
🍞 Breads | Gluten-free bread, focaccia, baguette, pain de campagne, etc. |
🍓 Jams and Spreads | Strawberry jam, blueberry jam, apple jam, Nutella, peanut butter, etc. |
🍚 Korean Side Dishes | Nabak Kimchi (나박김치), Gim (김) (seaweed), Jangjorim (장조림) (braised beef/pork), Baechu Kimchi (배추김치) (cabbage kimchi), Peanut Jorim (땅콩조림) (braised peanuts), Baek Kimchi (백김치) (white kimchi), Gungchae Jangajji (궁채장아찌) (marinated stem lettuce), Yeongeun Jorim (연근조림) (braised lotus root), Natto (낫또), Mumallaengi (무말랭이) (dried radish), Grilled Mackerel (고등어구이), etc. |
🍢 Bunsik (Snacks) | Tteokbokki (떡볶이), Eomuk (어묵) (fish cakes), Kimchi Mandu (김치만두) (kimchi dumplings), Gogi Mandu (고기만두) (meat dumplings), etc. |
🍳 Western / Meats | Hash browns, omelets, sausages, grilled pork neck, cauliflower, etc. |
🥗 Salads | Smoked salmon salad, Cajun chicken salad, etc. |
🍜 Noodle Station | Udon |

While I've only listed the menu items I remember,
there were many other delicious options available,
including cereals, fruits, and yogurts, so take your time to explore!

There were also four types of juice: tomato, orange, apple, and carrot,
and with tea bags and a coffee machine available,
you can easily get any drink you fancy.

Personally, the coffee beans here had a rich flavor and no acidity,
so when I filled my cup with ice and drank it like an Americano,
it was perfectly suited to my taste!
03. Honest Review of the Food

As expected from a breakfast buffet, there's a great variety of breads.
As I mentioned earlier, they have everything from gluten-free bread to
focaccia, baguettes, and pain de campagne!

And right next to it, there's a machine where you can warm up your bread,
so all you have to do is slice it up and pop it in.
If you spread some Nutella or peanut butter on it,
you won't even need brunch!

There are also plenty of jams, like strawberry and blueberry,
so you can pick your favorite!

Also, since there are so many Korean dishes,
I thought it would be great to bring older family members here.
Other breakfast buffets often have fewer and fewer Korean options,
leaving me feeling like something was always just a little bit missing.
Here, they had plenty of side dishes perfect for warm rice, like Nabak Kimchi (나박김치), Gim (김) (seaweed), Jangjorim (장조림) (braised beef), Kimchi (김치), Peanut Jorim (땅콩조림) (braised peanuts),
Baek Kimchi (백김치), Gungchae Jangajji (궁채장아찌) (marinated stem lettuce), Yeongeun Jorim (연근조림) (braised lotus root), and Natto (낫또).

What's more, they even have the ultimate street food favorites that foreigners go crazy for:
Tteokbokki (떡볶이) and Eomuk (어묵)!
Since it's not too spicy and has a strong sweet flavor,
it's great for both international visitors and kids alike.

Of course, they also have breakfast staples like hash browns and omelets,
plus sausages and grilled pork neck.
On top of that, there are plenty of salads, including
smoked salmon salad, along with Mandu (만두) (dumplings), grilled mackerel, and Yaki Udon (야끼우동).

At the instant noodle station, I ordered Udon (우동), and let me tell you,
the broth was rich and deep – absolutely perfect for a hangover cure!
Even if you try nothing else, I highly recommend you give the Udon a try.

Overall, to give a general review,
the breakfast buffet at Courtyard Marriott Times Square (코트야드 메리어트 타임스퀘어)
isn't one of those places with an overwhelmingly huge number of menu items.
However, it felt like they've focused on a reasonable number of options with careful selection,
which made me even more satisfied than with other places.
Personally, I prefer a well-curated selection of essential dishes over
buffets that just try to win you over with sheer quantity.

At a price in the ₩40,000s (~$30) for this quality, it's truly excellent!
It was such a great value hotel breakfast buffet that
I'd definitely be willing to use it again if I visit next time –
I highly recommend it.
If you want to enjoy a hearty breakfast during your stay in Seoul,
then definitely visit MoMo Cafe (모모카페) at Courtyard Marriott Yeongdeungpo (코트야드 메리어트 영등포)!

For your reference, it might be more economical to opt for a breakfast package
rather than paying ₩45,000 (~$34) for breakfast separately.
Since there isn't a separate discount for hotel guests,
if you're planning an overnight stay in Yeongdeungpo, make sure to compare prices.
