Conhas Yeonnam Hongdae Cafe Review 2026: 1st vs 2nd Floor Vibes
Discover Conhas Yeonnam, a stylish Hongdae cafe perfect for a relaxed afternoon. We compare the unique vibes of its two floors – from casual conversation spots to hip industrial aesthetics.

Saturday afternoon,
after putting our names down for Haidilao Hongdae
and searching for a cafe to wait at,
we ended up at Conhas Yeonnam.

Conhas Yeonnam is
located right in front of Hongik University Station Exit 3,
at the entrance of Yeonnam-dong,
making it super easy to find.

Honestly, we were just looking for a somewhat spacious cafe,
so we visited without much expectation,
but the ambiance was better than we thought,
making it a truly memorable cafe.
It's divided into two floors, the 1st and 2nd,
so we decided to explore first
to find a spot!
Conhas Yeonnam: 1st Floor

The 1st floor of Conhas Yeonnam
has a relatively casual and
conversation-friendly atmosphere.
There's a variety of seating, from 2-person tables
to larger group tables,
and the chairs looked comfortable too.

Overall, it had a hip vibe,
showcasing exposed concrete
with an industrial feel!

They also sell their own
Conhas original blend drip bags.
It seems like they're pretty serious about their coffee.

What made the 1st floor of Conhas Yeonnam
most appealing was that
the table density wasn't high,
creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for conversations.

The large glass windows near the entrance
let in natural light,
which also added to the bright atmosphere,
and I loved that.

Conhas Yeonnam: 2nd Floor

I also went up to the 2nd floor of Conhas Yeonnam.

The 2nd floor was a bit quieter,
giving it a good vibe for working or studying.
There were also many seats with outlets,
so instead of conversations,
there were overwhelmingly more people working on their laptops.

The restroom was also located further inside on the second floor,
and although it was co-ed,
it was neatly designed,
so using it wasn't inconvenient.
Conhas Yeonnam Menu

On this day, my friend and I
both drank lattes,
but we ordered slightly different options.
I had a warm latte
(~$5),
and my friend changed to a cold latte with soy milk
(~$5)

There were more dessert options than I expected.
The cookies and tarts, in particular,
looked delicious.

Basque cheesecake,
mandarin yogurt cake, and more –
there was a great lineup of cakes too.

This strawberry tart also seemed popular,
as many people ordered it 🍓

My friend changed their option to soy milk,
but they found it a bit bland/chalky, so
they didn't really enjoy it. 😅

The warm latte I ordered was
reliably delicious.
It was the nutty style with low acidity,
a flavor that everyone would likely enjoy!

To alleviate the boredom of waiting,
we even played a board game we brought along,
and were able to enjoy a leisurely afternoon.
For your information,
Conhas Yeonnam is open every day, with no days off,
from 10 AM to 11 PM daily.
The second floor is
also great for studying or working late,
and the first floor would be perfect for a second or third stop
late at night when you're not ready to go home,
and don't necessarily want alcohol!
