SEA LIFE COEX Aquarium Gangnam: Marine Life & Sharks

SEA LIFE COEX Aquarium spans an impressive area of approximately 5,500 pyeong,
and is divided into 9 exciting themed zones!
Home to over 650 species and approximately 40,000 marine creatures,
this Gangnam Aquarium is truly massive!
You could easily spend over two hours exploring at a leisurely pace, hehe.

What's truly special here is that it's home to over 110 sharks across 17 different species,
making it Korea's largest shark habitat!
From massive sharks to adorable baby sharks, there's a huge variety,
and even from outside the tank, they can be quite intimidating! 😂
Stand in front of the main tank, and watch as sharks gracefully glide overhead—
it's an absolutely breathtaking spectacle! (≧∇≦)ノ

From colorful tropical fish to playful seals and adorable penguins,
and even a crocodile – this Gangnam Aquarium has it all!
But there's one special friend you absolutely *must* see:
the colossal, rare, and endangered herbivorous manatee! 😆
It's truly uncommon to see a manatee in person in Korea,
making it a genuinely rare and precious experience! ㅎㅎ

In the **dome-shaped tunnel aquarium that reaches the ceiling**, you can see
turtles, sand tiger sharks, stingrays, and more!
Standing inside the tunnel feels like walking underwater,
making this the **best photo spot**! 😍
It's also set up **like a museum, displaying things like food chain cultivation**, and
each tank has excellent explanatory panels,
so it seemed like a great place for kids to learn about nature! haha
There are also **hands-on experiences like a VR experience zone and mini-boats**, which
you can try for an additional fee. I noticed
many families with kids enjoying these experiences!
Gangnam COEX Aquarium Mermaid Show, Ecological Briefings, Zanmang Loopy

The highlight of SEA LIFE COEX Aquarium is
the Princess Mermaid Underwater Show!
The **mermaid show times are 11:00, 12:30, 14:30, 16:30**.
It runs 4 times a day and is incredibly popular! ✨
If you really want to see it, I highly recommend getting there
30 minutes early to secure your spot!
Besides the mermaids, don't miss the **Stingray Ecological Briefing, Seal Ecological Briefing,**
**and Asian Small-Clawed Otter Ecological Briefing** and feeding shows, which also
happen once a day! haha

The **penguin feeding show** is truly adorable! ❤️
They waddle over to get their food,
and then they have running and swimming races amongst themselves,
which everyone from kids to adults absolutely loved! haha

Currently, they're **collaborating with Zanmang Loopy**, so
there are cute photo zones everywhere!
Thanks to the Loopy merchandise and photo zones, there are so many places to take pictures,
making it perfect for couples, families with kids, or anyone looking to get some amazing life shots.
Plus, for an extra fee, you can even get your photos taken with a DSLR and receive them
later like a photo card! haha

Finally, after a full tour including the SEA LIFE Gangnam souvenir shop,
your Gangnam indoor date course comes to a
highly satisfying end! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
Taking photos and exploring everything at a leisurely pace took
**nearly 2 hours and 30 minutes**, so it really seems like
the perfect Gangnam date course! haha
For your information, parking at COEX SEA LIFE Aquarium costs
**~$3 for 4 hours**. You'll need to enter the
barcode found at the bottom of your receipt into the pre-payment machine.
Please note that standard parking fees
will apply after 4 hours!

**A great place for a Gangnam indoor date, perfect for families with kids, and a cool escape:**
**<SEA LIFE COEX Aquarium>**
When a shark swam over my head in the tunnel aquarium,
it was truly magnificent and left me in awe. The
mermaid show was also beautiful and absolutely wonderful! haha
What's more, there are so many rare marine creatures here that
you usually don't see elsewhere. Even as an adult, exploring it was
incredibly fascinating and fun! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
For couples considering an indoor date in Gangnam,
and for families looking for places to go with kids, I highly
recommend SEA LIFE COEX Aquarium!
It's the perfect COEX date course to escape the heat
and enjoy a wealth of sights! ❤️
