I recently discovered that a French cheese pop-up store,

Cheese Wonderland, had opened at COEX,

so of course, I had to go!

Dates	Week 1 │ September 9th (Wed) ~ September 13th (Sun) Week 2 │ September 14th (Mon)~September 20th (Sun)
Time	10:30 ~ 22:00
Location	Starfield COEX Mall B1, Millennium Plaza (Across from McDonald's COEX branch)
Admission Fee	Free

The event spanned two weeks, Week 1 and Week 2,

and I ended up going on the very last day!

Week 1 was mainly focused on pop-up events,

and from Week 2, you could also purchase

French cheeses.

01 What's My Cheese Type?

The 2026 French Cheese Pop-up, Cheese Wonderland,

was held near the entrance of Starfield COEX Mall.

It was my first time ever coming to COEX and only staying at the entrance!

LOL!

It was nice not having to go deep inside the mall,

I really liked that! Haha.

As soon as I entered, it felt like I'd stepped into an amusement park,

the atmosphere was wonderful! 🎡

On one side of the wall, there was an explanation of where and how French cheeses are made.

There's so much I want to learn about cheese and wine...

Before checking out the cheeses,

I also took a cheese preference test!

The questions were all like, "When you go to an amusement park~~~?",

and it seemed like a fun thing to do!

I got Saint-Nectaire,

and my boyfriend got Comté.

I don't know much about cheese, but the one I got isn't a cheese I particularly love,

or at least, I've never even heard of it before! (haha)

My boyfriend, on the other hand, got his favorite, Comté! Haha.

So, accurate for him, but maybe not so much for me..? 😆

There was also a space where you could decorate a plate with various stamps.

I filled mine with cheeses I love,

baguettes, and honey!

There was also an Instagram event going on,

but I participated too late, which was a bummer! 😖

There were photo zones everywhere,

so it was great for taking pictures! 🤗

02 French Cheese Store

This Cheese Wonderland featured

three French cheese brands.

This was Beyond Europe,

right at the entrance and the most crowded spot!

They had the widest variety of cheeses,

and best of all, samples were ready for every single cheese,

so I got to taste them all, one by one!

My boyfriend and I are big fans of Comté cheese,

so we kept a keen eye out for it 👀

Since I'm not always great at distinguishing subtle flavors,

it was amazing to be able to sample all three ages – 12, 24, and 36 months –

and really tell the difference!

Initially, I thought the 36-month aged one would be the winner,

but surprisingly, for my personal palate, the 24-month Comté was the absolute best 😋

✔ Le Priant

Le Priant was fascinating because they offered some really unique French cheeses!

These weren't your everyday cheeses, so they really piqued my curiosity 😳

What's more, Le Priant also sold

a variety of cheeses as platters.

You could get them in different sizes: Small (~$15),

Medium (~$22), and Large (~$29).

✔ Cheese Zzalla​

Ahhh, Cheese Zzalla was where all my favorite cheeses were gathered!

But it seems I visited too late on the last day ^_ㅠ...

Everything was sold out... *sniffle*..

Emmental, Brie, Camembert, Comté –

they all looked so delicious....🤤

Even the adorable ice cream cheese I'd seen on Instagram

was from Cheese Zzalla!

With cream cheese topped with blueberry jam,

it tasted absolutely fantastic 😋

03 Overall Impressions

Although I was a bit sad that many events and cheeses were gone

by the time I visited on the last day,

it was still so much fun to discover a wide variety of cheeses

through their samples.

I had also applied for a cheese class beforehand, but sadly didn't get selected.

However, the French Cheese Pop-up Store itself was charming and delightful.

Even though I visited a bit late this year,

if they hold it again next year,

I'd love to visit again! 😚
