Central Site Hapjeong: Hand-Drip Coffee & Tiramisu Cafe

Craving exceptional coffee in Hapjeong, Seoul? That's what led us to discover Central Site Hapjeong.

Central Site is already a renowned spot for its exquisite hand-drip coffee in Yeonnam, and they recently opened this new branch in Hapjeong.

You'll find Central Site Hapjeong conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 2!

Operating hours are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily,

with the last order taken at 9:30 PM.

What I particularly loved was its location on a quiet corner street, away from the usual bustling crowds.

Situated on a corner with floor-to-ceiling glass windows on all sides, the cafe offers a wonderfully open and airy feel, perfect for a pleasant early summer day like today (September 2026).

From high bar seating by the window, perfect for working, to tables accommodating 3-4 people, there's a variety of seating to choose from.

As a true hand-drip coffee specialist, one of its most appealing features is the ability to sniff and choose from a diverse selection of premium coffee beans.

Each coffee bean comes with its own detailed aroma profile card!

It took me quite some time to carefully smell and select my preferred blend.

You can also purchase coffee beans to take home, of course :)

The dessert menu mainly features tiramisu, which pairs wonderfully with coffee.

Honestly, I hadn't planned on dessert,

but it looked so tempting that I decided to order a Classic Tiramisu.

For coffee, you get a ~$1 discount for takeout. While regular espresso drinks can be switched to decaf, specialty coffees do not offer a decaf option, which is good to keep in mind!

After much deliberation, my friend and I placed our order:

Another pleasant surprise was that the complimentary water was lemon water!

I particularly enjoyed this window seat, offering a lovely view of the lush green trees outside.

Hand-Drip Coffee & Tiramisu Review

Served in a clear glass with square ice cubes, the coffee had an almost whiskey-like appearance!

Both coffees we ordered were from Ethiopia:

My friend chose the Gesha Village 137, and I opted for the Yirgacheffe Chelbesa Washed.

While the fragrant notes of Gesha Village Narsha were lovely,

I was particularly captivated by the aroma of my Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Chelbesa Washed.

The description highlighted a white floral aroma and citrus acidity in the first notes,

followed by a stone fruit sweetness reminiscent of peaches and a silky texture in the mid-palate,

and a lingering subtle sweetness with a tea-like mouthfeel.

It was fascinating how the final texture indeed had a subtle tea-like quality, just as described! It felt like starting with a refreshing acidity and finishing with an Earl Grey tea note. Being able to savor multiple flavors in a single sip was truly delightful.

When enjoying such delicate filter-brewed coffee, it's incredibly fun to follow the descriptions and savor each aroma. 😌

The tiramisu was topped with chunky dark chocolate, offering a delightful variety of textures.

Layered with four alternating sections of cake and cream, its smooth and creamy taste was truly that of a perfect classic tiramisu!

It paired incredibly well with the coffee.

However, when eaten with tiramisu, the delicate nuances of the filter coffee are somewhat overshadowed by the dessert's rich flavor.

So, I initially enjoyed the coffee on its own, then slowly savored the tiramisu one bite at a time alongside it!

One last thing:

As we were leaving, I noticed that right next to the cafe was Kaden, Chef Jung Ho-young's famous udon restaurant!

We left around 5:00 PM, and even though dinner service started at 5:30 PM, there was already a long line for waiting.

It would be a great idea to arrive early, put your name down for Kaden, and then spend some time at Central Site Hapjeong before heading over for your udon!

Overall, it was wonderful to enjoy the popular Yeonnam-dong vibe and delicious filter coffee right here in Hapjeong!
