📍 What is Buvette?
Buvette is a renowned French bistro brand that originated in New York City's West Village.
'Buvette' is a French word meaning 'small restaurant,' and its Seoul outpost is perfectly situated on the first floor of the Andaz Hotel Apgujeong. Its proximity to Apgujeong subway station makes it incredibly accessible by public transport!
🍷 Beyond the Red Awning: A Charming Ambiance
The vibrant red awning and matching red iron chairs outside perfectly capture the essence of a Parisian sidewalk cafe.

Step inside, and a whole new charm unfolds. The antique tiled ceiling, exposed brick walls, and shelves brimming with wine bottles create an atmosphere that's both rustic and elegant.
Every corner held something captivating, making it a feast for the eyes. The U-shaped red bar seating in the center is particularly striking, adding to that authentic French feel!

It looked like a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine solo. There's even a chalkboard on the wall illustrating French wine regions, which is super helpful when deciding on your drink 🍷

🍽️ Our Menu Picks (All Winners!)
On our visit, we opted for three delightful dishes:
First up, the Capellini Caprese (~$16).

This dish features delicate capellini pasta topped with fresh mozzarella, a vibrant tomato confit, and a fragrant basil dressing. It felt like a gourmet salad – light, refreshing, and absolutely perfect for a summer day.
Next, we savored the
Feuilleté au Jambon (~$14).

This crispy puff pastry pie is filled with savory ham, rich cheese, and a creamy sauce. Garnished with a golden-brown sage leaf, its appearance alone was enticing. The exterior was wonderfully flaky, while the interior remained moist and flavorful, making it incredibly addictive.
As soon as we cut into the Feuilleté, the aromatic blend of herbs, cheese, and ham filled the air, followed by an explosion of buttery pastry fragrance! This was definitely the most memorable dish of the evening!
Finally, we indulged in the Sole Meunière (~$20).

This classic French flounder dish, prepared with a delectable butter and caper sauce, was generously accompanied by clams and fresh vegetables. The flavors were so exquisite that we even dipped our bread into the sauce to savor every last drop.
Seriously, every single dish was incredibly delicious! We left with zero regrets about our choices, and our taste buds were absolutely delighted.
💬 Final Honest Thoughts
Overall, Buvette truly excels in its balance of ambiance, food, and service. My intention to revisit is 200% percent!
