After heading out for a long-awaited outing in Gangnam Station,
I suddenly found myself craving rich, chewy gnocchi,
so after diligently searching on Naver Maps,
I ended up visiting Briveat Gangnam Station, a place that's been quite the buzz lately.

Although its name is Briveat Gangnam Station,
it actually feels closer to walk from Sinnonhyeon Station than from Gangnam Station.
If you walk straight up the alley past CGV Gangnam,
you'll spot a striking fuchsia signboard that's sure to catch your eye.
An Ambiance Overflowing with European Outdoor Cafe Charm
Indoor Atmosphere
The space extends long and straight inwards.
Overall, it has a charming and cozy cafe vibe.
Seating options include regular tables and bar tables comfortable for solo diners,
among which the terrace-style seating decorated with lush greenery deeper inside the restaurant seemed to be the most popular.
True to a popular hotspot in the bustling Gangnam Station area,
the overall table spacing isn't very wide; tables are quite compactly arranged.
That day, the air conditioning inside the restaurant was running so powerfully that I felt a chill even before we started eating.
We were told that knee blankets were not available,
so we eventually had to ask a staff member to adjust the temperature.
A Menu Full of Trendsetting Delights
We took a seat at the window bar table, where we could sit side-by-side
and enjoy the alley view outside.
After carefully reviewing the menu,
you can choose between individual à la carte combinations or
one of the value-for-money set menus, depending on whether you want drinks.
Here's a little ordering tip!
Currently, Briveat offers a complimentary ade drink if you participate in their receipt review event.
So, rather than opting for a set menu,
it's a good idea to pick your favorite à la carte dishes
and then join the review event to get a refreshing ade on the house.
Once you've decided on your menu, ring the bell to call a staff member.
Our two drinks were served first.
A sweet and tangy orange juice,
and a refreshing grapefruit-based Briveat Ade.
Next, the spicy fries we ordered as a side dish arrived,
Hoppity hop! The Rabbit Pasta and the Leek Cream Corn Gnocchi
were served one after another.
All the dishes we ordered were served,
completely filling our window bar table.
I thought that if you visit this window bar seating during
cooler seasons like spring or fall, when you can open the windows wide,
the unique sense of openness and open-air cafe vibe would be greatly amplified,
making the experience even more satisfying.
First, I reached for the Spicy Fried Eggplant,
a side dish I chose without hesitation
because it's a menu item I absolutely love.
I was so hungry that I couldn't even manage to squeeze the lemon wedge
that came with the fried dish; I just dipped it straight into the sauce and tasted it.
The spicy fried eggplant was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside,
perfectly preserving its natural juices.
However, as is typical with fried foods, there comes a point where it can feel a bit rich.
That's when I squeezed the lemon over it and paired it with the ade.
Hoppity hop! The Rabbit Pasta.
This is the restaurant's signature visually striking dish,
one I've seen often in blog thumbnails and reviews.
The adorable plating truly stands out.
A cute, fluffy white mozzarella cheese rabbit
perched atop vibrant red tomato pasta.
Although the description said it was spicy tomato pasta,
perhaps because I had just eaten the spicy fried eggplant, I barely tasted any spice myself.
More than its flavor, it was a cute dish with high Instagrammable value,
perfect for getting that 'proof-of-visit' shot.
Leek Cream Corn Gnocchi
Handmade gnocchi, freshly kneaded in-house,
crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.
It's topped with sweet corn and savory whole bacon bits
over a rich, creamy, and fragrant leek cream sauce.
What was unique was that, rather than the leek cream flavor,
the distinctive aroma and taste of olives were quite strong. I'm not usually one to seek out olives,
so I couldn't exactly avoid the finely chopped ones, lol.
Nevertheless, the gnocchi's chewy texture and creaminess
were better than the previous pasta.
However, as I continued eating the creamy gnocchi combined with the fried eggplant,
I inevitably started to feel quite a bit of richness in my mouth after a while.
At moments like these, I really wished for some pickles, but I was disappointed
that neither water nor pickles were visible in the basic table setting.
Wondering if they really didn't have water and pickles, I looked up other people's reviews while writing this,
and it seems they are available at a self-service bar on one side of the restaurant.
If only they had added a simple note like 'Please use the self-service bar for water and pickles'
when seating us or serving the menu, our meal could have been much smoother.
I still feel a slight pang of regret about that.

While it definitely had all the characteristics of a typical SNS hotspot,
if you're curious about Instagrammable interiors and adorable pasta,
I recommend visiting at least once for the experience.
