A highlight of this program is the incredible opportunity to personally ring the temple bell. Please note that the schedule is subject to change based on temple circumstances.

03. The Ambiance of Bonguensa at Night

During my summer evening visit, Bonguensa Temple was beautifully illuminated with countless lanterns. The temple grounds were wonderfully quiet, and the gentle glow emanating from inside the main hall created a truly impressive and serene atmosphere.
I heard the sounds of drums and other percussion instruments during the evening prayer, adding to the spiritual ambiance.

Not long ago, I visited with my sibling and we made a wish candle offering, taking a peaceful stroll around the temple. It was my first time making an offering at a temple at night, which felt incredibly unique and a little bewildering at first!

I'll share how to make a wish candle offering in a future post!
