Asiana Business Class to Jeju with a Baby: A Smooth Journey
Dreaming of a relaxed family trip to Jeju? Find out how Asiana Business Class transformed our journey with a 6-month-old and grandmother into a truly comfortable experience. From priority boarding to spacious seats, discover the perks.
Flying to Jeju with a Baby: Our Asiana Business Class Experience

Our recent trip to Jeju Island with our 6-month-old baby was also a multi-generational adventure, as we traveled with my mother, who is in her 60s.
To ensure a truly comfortable and stress-free journey for everyone, we opted for Business Class!

Having access to the Asiana Airlines Lounge as Business Class passengers made the start of our trip incredibly smooth and relaxing. ❤️
Let me share our full experience flying Business Class with a baby.

1. Check-in & Baggage Perks
Business Class Baggage Allowance

One of the major benefits of Business Class is the generous baggage allowance. You can bring two carry-on bags per person aboard the aircraft!
(Economy passengers are typically limited to one carry-on per person.)
This includes not just standard carry-on suitcases, but also larger items like a baby's diaper bag. So, don't worry about packing extra essentials for your little one!

Business Class also means a speedy check-in process! We checked in at a dedicated Business Class counter.
Since you can't use mobile check-in when traveling with an infant under 24 months, we received traditional paper tickets after checking in at the counter.
We requested door-to-door service for our stroller,

and the stroller even received a special Business Class tag!
On a previous trip to Fukuoka with Jin Air, we had to purchase a plastic bag for the stroller if we wanted door-to-door service. However, Asiana Airlines provided a complimentary plastic bag for our stroller, which was a nice touch.
You can use your stroller all the way up to the boarding gate, where you'll hand it over just before stepping onto the plane.

After checking it in door-to-door, you can pick up your stroller immediately upon deplaning at Jeju Airport, right at the arrival gate!

After check-in, we breezed through security using the priority security lane.
Up to six companions traveling with an infant under 24 months can use this priority lane, which is a huge time-saver and stress-reducer when you have a little one! :)

2. The Asiana Lounge Experience

Asiana Airlines Business Class passengers get complimentary access to the Asiana Lounge.
Waiting for a flight in the main terminal with a baby is often challenging (crowded, cramped seating, etc.), so having this comfortable lounge space was an absolute godsend!
We could relax on the spacious sofas, play with the baby, and even enjoy some light snacks and refreshments.

Since this isn't a full-service dining lounge, you won't find extensive meal options, but there's a good selection of simple snacks and beverages.
And that was actually a huge plus!
Our goal was to relax, and the absence of strong food odors made the environment even more comfortable and serene.

The coffee served was from Hollys Coffee.
The machine was high-quality, allowing for lattes and cappuccinos. 🤭 Plus, warm milk was available, which is perfect for babies!

There were also unlimited Coca-Cola refills, including Coke Zero! :)
My baby, my mother, and I rested comfortably here while waiting for our flight.

Normally, waiting for a flight outside the lounge with a baby means cramped seats and juggling lots of luggage, leaving you exhausted before even boarding. But with the comfort of the lounge, our trip started on a truly happy note! ㅠㅠ❤️
Sometimes, comfort is worth every penny! 👍🏻
3. Business Class Seat Review

Business Class also means priority boarding!
Since we were traveling with a baby, we specifically chose Row 1, the very front. Business Class tickets allow for immediate seat selection upon purchase, which is a fantastic perk.
Being in Row 1 meant we boarded right away – a huge relief when juggling a baby!

Row 1 also means you're among the very first to deplane, which was incredibly helpful when I was babywearing. We all want to get off as quickly as possible with a little one!

Look at all that space – enough to stretch your legs completely!

It goes without saying, but the seats are significantly wider and offer more legroom than Economy Class.
If you have the miles, flying Business Class to Jeju with a baby is an absolute game-changer.

It's worth noting that on our outbound flight, the seats didn't fully recline into a lie-flat position; they only offered adjustable footrests and backrests.
Seat configurations can vary by aircraft model and route. Interestingly, on our return flight to Incheon, the plane was much larger, and the Business Class seats were a newer design that reclined completely flat.

The overall space and comfort were significantly better on the return flight.

On both flights, we didn't receive a full meal service, but rather simple beverages.
(Water, fruit juice, tea, coffee, etc.)
This is understandable, as it's only about an hour-long flight! 😅

Our baby is generally quite calm, and as soon as I put him in the baby carrier after boarding, he fell right asleep. The hour-long flight to Jeju flew by!
Here's a crucial tip for flying with a baby:
Absolutely no naps before boarding!
Even if they're super sleepy, try to keep them awake until you're on the plane.
Contrary to what you might think, young babies often get restless and cry a lot during flights if they're not tired enough to sleep through it.

Upon arrival in Jeju, you can collect your checked stroller immediately as you deplane. Then, you can simply pop your baby in the stroller and head to baggage claim to pick up your luggage! 🤍
4. Our Business Class Recommendation

If you're traveling with a baby, it's a definite YES.
Our baby is quite calm, which certainly helped, but there's no doubt that Business Class significantly improves the travel experience with an infant.
You can bring more carry-on luggage,
You get priority boarding and deplaning,
The spacious seats make babywearing comfortable,
And you get complimentary lounge access!

Especially if your baby is sensitive, or if you, as parents, are nervous about your first flight with an infant, I highly recommend the extra space and comfort of Business Class.
A smooth start sets the tone for a fantastic trip, right? Getting stressed on the plane can make the whole journey feel like a nightmare. For your next family trip to Jeju, Business Class is an absolute game-changer! ❤️
