I'm usually one to seek out new accommodations, so revisiting a hotel is pretty rare for me. But Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae is an exception! I first stayed here in June 2025, and I'm already planning my next visit for next week, with 100% intention to return again.
This hotel, which you can book for an average of around ~$32 per night, is a fantastic value stay on the west side of Jeju. It truly checks all the boxes: location, room cleanliness, and surrounding amenities. After experiencing it myself, I completely understand why it boasts a 4.9 rating on Naver.
If you're planning a budget-friendly trip to Jeju, you absolutely have to check out Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae!

I compared various platforms, and for my specific dates, MyRealTrip offered the best price.
In 2025, during the peak summer season, a night here was still only around ~$64. Considering how much more expensive other places get, isn't it amazing to find such a great deal even in peak season?!
One of the main reasons I chose Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae is its fantastic location.
If your accommodation in Jeju is in an awkward spot, you're constantly relying on a car, which can be a hassle.
Especially in the evenings, if you want to enjoy a beer or two, you're left debating whether to call a designated driver or a taxi.
That's why I always prefer places with restaurants within walking distance, and Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae delivers! There are plenty of great eateries just a 5-minute walk away.

I've personally visited all four of these places, and they are all genuine local favorites!
I especially recommend Jongmun! I'm planning to go again this trip.
And, popular tourist attractions like Hyeopjae Beach, Panpo Port, and Geumoreum are all just a 10-15 minute drive away.
The lobby had a quiet, cozy, almost boutique-hotel vibe.
Since check-in is done via a kiosk, early check-in isn't possible, even if you arrive ahead of schedule.
In the lobby, you'll find a sofa, microwave, PC, amenity vending machine, and even a luggage storage area.
If you're looking for a 'trendy' or 'aesthetic' hotel, you might be disappointed, but if your priority is a comfortable, clean space to relax and refresh, the room condition will exceed your expectations.
The room size was surprisingly generous, and it was immaculately clean everywhere you looked. I especially loved that the floors weren't carpeted!
As an OTT room, the TV was impressively large. The setup felt incredibly practical, with a table perfect for a late-night snack and a vanity.
There were two chairs each for the table and vanity, and even a hairdryer in both the vanity area and the bathroom.
It might not be 'instagrammable,' but it felt as comfortable as my own room!! Truly designed with practicality in mind.
And I'm particularly sensitive about bathroom cleanliness, and this one was spotless, without a hint of water stains. (Even the showerhead was sparkling clean, which is a big plus for me!)
Bathroom amenities include body wash, conditioner, shampoo, toothpaste, and a hairdryer. Remember to bring your own toothbrush!
The bedding was also exceptionally clean, and the mattress and pillows were so comfortable that I slept like a baby every night.
You'll also find a coffee pot, a refrigerator (with complimentary bottled water), and room slippers.
Considering its affordable price, practical room layout, and spacious, comfortable room conditions, this hotel offers 100% satisfaction for value-conscious travelers.
I've explored countless budget accommodations during my many trips to Jeju, and for cleanliness + practicality, Arumi Hotel Hyeopjae truly takes the top spot! Haha.
Another major plus is the variety of room types available, making it suitable for couples, friends, or families without significant occupancy restrictions.
If I had to be completely honest about a downside, it would be a slight odor in the underground parking lot. It wasn't dirty, but more like a faint drain smell.
Aside from that minor detail, I'd confidently say this is the ultimate budget-friendly and practical stay in Jeju.
If you're seeking accommodation on Jeju's west side that prioritizes value + cleanliness + practicality over a specific 'aesthetic,' you'll be as thoroughly satisfied as I was.
It's a great option for vacation season too, as you can book it at a more affordable rate compared to other places, even during peak times.
However,
since it's not a large hotel,
rooms tend to fill up quickly.
It's a good idea to book in advance for weekends and peak seasons! :)
