Arket Cafe The Hyundai Seoul Review 2026: Menu & Honest Thoughts

Did you know there's an

Arket Cafe inside the Arket store,

located in the basement of The Hyundai Seoul?

I'd always seen it in passing,

but recently when I visited The Hyundai Seoul

and it looked a bit quieter,

I thought, 'Oh? Should I check it out?'

and went with a friend.

Immediately to the right of the subway passage entrance

Opening Hours:

10:30 - 20:30

Arket, a Swedish brand,

has a total of 8 stores in Korea as of 2026.

However, not all Arket stores have a cafe;

there are currently only 4 Arket Cafes nationwide!

Seoul:

The Hyundai Seoul Branch,

Yongsan I'PARK Mall Branch,

Garosu-gil Branch

​Busan:

Shinsegae Centum City Branch

Among these, the Arket Cafe at The Hyundai Seoul branch became a hot topic

when The Hyundai Seoul opened in 2021,

as it was the first Arket store to open in Asia!

Upon entering the Arket Cafe at The Hyundai Seoul,

I saw a variety of menus displayed on the signboard.

And in the display window,

there were various desserts and breads,

with the most famous one at Arket Cafe being

the Scandinavian dessert, Semla.

What's interesting is that

the official Arket website even introduces

the ingredients and recipe for Semla!

Beyond that, there were also

healthy-looking options

like Cinnamon Buns, Gingerbread Cake,

Hummus & Sweet Potato Wraps,

and Miso Omelette & Quinoa Wraps.

They even had bread samples! :)

I was lucky enough to try the Semla,

and it had a sweet, pastry-like texture.

The drink menu also had a variety of options,

including coffee and non-coffee beverages.

Since we stopped by the cafe after having lunch that day,

We decided to order just two drinks.

Here's what we ordered:

They even gave us this cute coupon.

Buy 5 drinks and get 1 coffee free – that's a pretty sweet deal, right?!

I highly recommend grabbing one if you visit Arket Cafe.

Now that our drinks were ordered,

it was time to explore the seating.

Arket Cafe has seats prepared

near the floor-to-ceiling windows by the store entrance.

If you're coming alone or as a pair,

the bar seating looks great,

and for groups of 3-4 or more,

you could easily push two tables together

to accommodate everyone.

Of course, it's not a standalone cafe,

but rather tucked away in a corner of the Arket store,

so it's not huge.

I'd say there are fewer than 10 tables in total :)

We found a spot by the window,

and while waiting for our drinks,

we browsed around the Arket store.

Being able to enjoy both shopping and a cafe at the same time

seems to be the charm of Arket Cafe :)

Arket Cafe Drink Review

My Matcha Latte arrived first.

I loved the natural swirl latte art,

and the rich matcha aroma was fantastic.

It wasn't too sweet, so it was

perfect for my taste!

My friend's Chai Latte

came with a small biscuit, perhaps because it was a bit pricier.

Unfortunately, the Chai Latte

had a rather dull and astringent taste,

which neither my friend nor I enjoyed much 😅

However, since a biscuit comes with it,

if you're keen to try the biscuit,

it might still be worth ordering!

While our drink success rate was a disappointing 50%,

the coupon offer is so appealing

that I'd love to come back

and try a coffee item and the Semla next time.

Since I visit The Hyundai Seoul often,

if I'm satisfied with other menu items next time,
