Anuk Air Hotel Daejeon Station Review 2026: Budget Spa Rooms Near Seongsimdang

I was curious about what makes 'Air' different among the Anuk Hotel (아늑호텔) brands known for their great value for money.

It's apparently a line of Anuk Hotel focused on cleanliness.

Anuk Air Hotel Daejeon Station Branch (아늑에어호텔 대전역점) is just a 10-minute walk from the main branch of Seongsimdang (성심당), making it perfect for an early morning 'open run'.

Plus, even if you buy a ton of bread, you can store your luggage and explore unencumbered.

I'll share my review of staying in the Standard Spa Room,

including a price comparison on Agoda and Trip.com.

Anuk Air Hotel Daejeon Station Branch

1. Anuk Air Hotel Location and Parking

Anuk Air Hotel is a 13-minute walk from Daejeon Station,

and only a 10-minute walk to Seongsimdang Main Branch,

so you can wake up and head straight for an early open run.

After buying a mountain of bread,

you don't need to carry it around heavily.

They offer 24-hour luggage storage both before check-in and after check-out,

so you can leave your bags and explore lightly.

On the second floor, along with a bread storage refrigerator,

there's also a free ice pack refrigerator, where you can freely take up to two ice packs.

Right across from the accommodation, you'll find Mokcheokgyo Pocha (목척교포차).

This place is incredibly romantic, so if you come to Daejeon, you absolutely have to check it out!

There's a parking lot, but it's quite small.

When I checked in late, it was full, but if you call them, they'll guide you to nearby dedicated parking lots.

I was lucky to find a spot in the alley right next door and parked there.

2. Hotel Lobby Services & Check-in Method

On the first-floor lobby's self-service lounge,

you'll find a coffee machine, water purifier, microwave, and bottled water.

Board games, massage devices, chargers,

even extra toilet paper and towels are available.

Since there was also a hairdryer,

I wondered if there wasn't a hairdryer in the room,

but it turns out it's there to use in case the room's hairdryer breaks down :)

I did an in-person check-in around 8 PM.

When I went out again for an errand at night,

the staff had already left,

but if you arrive late, you can self-check-in

through the kiosk.

You need to tap your room key to use the elevator,

so outsiders can't go up,

which made me feel safe even though I was traveling alone.

If you're uncomfortable receiving

delivery food right at your room door,

there's a designated spot for delivery food

next to the elevator in the 1st-floor lobby,

so you can pick it up there!

When checking out,

I had bought a lot of bread and had luggage, so my hands were full.

But there was a temporary chair by the entrance,

allowing me to put my bags down and organize them for a moment.

It might seem like a small thing, but it was such a convenient feature!

3. Standard Spa Room Review

The room I used

was a Standard Spa Room on the top 6th floor.

There's only one elevator, but it's quick,

so I never had to wait long!

Even though it was the cheapest standard room,

I was surprised by how spacious the room was.

With a white and sky-blue interior,

it almost felt a bit too empty...?

What was a bit funny is that even the bathroom was spacious,

so when I used the toilet paper, lol.

It wasn't inconvenient, but it was quite amusing.

As "sauna items" are trending these days,

I also enjoyed a spa in the bathtub,

put on a face mask, and relaxed comfortably!

As befits Anuk Hotel Airline (아늑호텔 에어라인),

it was so clean that I felt completely comfortable.

The weather had gotten quite cold,

but each room had both an air conditioner/heater and an electric blanket,

and the neck pillow kept my neck comfortable even after sleeping.

4. Agoda vs. Trip.com Price Comparison

Anuk Air Hotel Daejeon Station Branch (아늑에어호텔 대전역점)

can be booked on both Agoda and Trip.com,

so I compared prices for the same dates.

Prices may vary depending on booking time, currency, and membership status.

Agoda Standard Free Cancellation rates have an earlier cancellation deadline.

(For stays on 1/6, cancellation until 12/30; for stays on 1/9, until 1/2)

For weekday standard rates, the difference between the two platforms is only about ₩1,000 (~$1),

so you can choose based on the payment method rather than the price.

Agoda allows you to pay later for free cancellation rates,

while Trip.com requires immediate payment when booking.

If you're coming by KTX without a car,

'Walk-in only' rooms, which don't include parking, are cheaper,

and Agoda was about ₩7,000 (~$5) to ₩10,000 (~$7) cheaper here.

If your schedule is set in stone,

Agoda's non-refundable rates are the cheapest.

If you want a room with a bathtub, like the one I stayed in,

bathtub/spa rooms were only available on Trip.com.

Free cancellation deadlines vary by rate,

so make sure to check when booking.

Same-day cancellations or changes due to personal reasons are not allowed.

5. What I Loved Less

If I had to pick one minor quibble, it's that while it's called the Daejeon Station (대전역점) branch,

it's not right next to Daejeon Station.

It's slightly outside the bustling downtown area,

located between Daejeon Station and Sungsimdang (성심당).

Make sure to save the local foodie spot map inside your room! It's the real deal!!

However, as a Daejeon (대전) local,

I found it to be quiet, not too crowded even at night,

and conveniently located near Jungang Market (중앙시장) with its local foodie gems,

and both Eunhaeng-dong (은행동) and Daeheung-dong (대흥동), where Sungsimdang is located, are close by,

making it super easy to get around.

With clean rooms, 24-hour luggage storage,

and even the possibility of doing a Sungsimdang (성심당) 'open run' (being there right when it opens),

if your Daejeon travel dates are set,

definitely check if there are any rooms left!
