Anthracite Yeonhui Cafe: Hongdae's Parking-Friendly Gem (2026)
Looking for a spacious, work-friendly cafe in Yeonhui-dong near Hongdae? Anthracite Yeonhui offers delicious specialty coffee and, best of all, convenient parking!

Picture this: a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and I'm driving through Yeonhui-dong, a vibrant neighborhood near Hongdae, only to be met with absolute chaos—cars everywhere, people spilling onto the sidewalks, and every public parking lot full. The cafes I had in mind? Long lines snaking out the door! In a moment of pure frustration, I desperately searched for a 'Hongdae Yeonhui-dong cafe with parking' and stumbled upon Anthracite Yeonhui. What a discovery!

It's incredibly rare to find a cafe in the Hongdae area with its own substantial parking lot right in front of the building. And get this—the parking fee is a flat rate of just ~$1! Seriously, a total lifesaver in this bustling neighborhood.

The cafe itself is quite spacious, spread across two inviting floors. The first floor primarily features cozy round tables perfect for 2-3 people, with a few spots by the windows.

This is also where you'll find their impressive roasting equipment, along with a dedicated area for purchasing their specialty beans and merchandise.

Head upstairs to the second floor, and you're greeted by an even more expansive, open space dominated by a large communal table in the center. Even though it was busy, the turnover was surprisingly quick, so we only had a short wait before snagging a spot.

A huge bonus? The central table is equipped with power outlets, making it a popular hub for folks working on their laptops or tablets.

Once settled on the second floor, I headed back down to order.
Anthracite Yeonhui Menu

Let me tell you, the dessert menu was unexpectedly extensive—my eyes practically popped out! What started as a simple coffee run quickly turned into a 'one dessert per person' situation.🤣

They offer a wide array of filter coffees, and their standard espresso drinks allow you to choose from three distinct bean blends. My two friends and I ordered a selection:

A cool feature: you can actually smell the Anthracite blend beans before choosing, and they're also available for purchase or even subscription!

Near the staircase leading up to the second floor, you'll find a water dispenser, cups, napkins, and syrup for your convenience.
Interestingly, perhaps because so many people are working on laptops up here, the WiFi is open and doesn't require a password!

Our coffees and desserts were brought directly to our table.
Since there were three of us, we each got to try a different bean blend.

My decaf latte had a wonderfully rich aroma, and both the 'Air and Dream' and 'Butter Fat Trio' blends definitely lived up to their tasting notes. Between the two, the more robust Butter Fat Trio was right up my alley!

The desserts, on the other hand, while tempting, weren't quite as memorable as the coffee. For me, the zesty Lemon Madeleine was the clear winner.
Despite the desserts being just 'okay,' Anthracite Yeonhui is an absolute gem for its delicious coffee and, more importantly, its incredibly convenient and spacious parking in the bustling Hongdae/Yeonhui-dong area. I'd definitely return!
Next time, I'll stick to one dessert to share and focus on savoring their fantastic coffee.😉
