Angjelije: A Must-Try Pasta Spot in Sadang
It's surprisingly tough to find a great pasta restaurant near Sadang Station, an area more often associated with lively pubs and bars.
Recently, I had dinner plans with a friend in Sadang and was on the hunt for a pasta place with a nice ambiance. That's how I stumbled upon Angjelije, and I left thoroughly impressed!
This is my honest review of Angjelije, a fantastic pasta restaurant in Sadang, based on my own experience.

📍 Angjelije
서울특별시 서초구 방배천로2안길 69 2층
Angjelije, a top Sadang pasta spot, is tucked away on the second floor of a building in a quiet alley, just about a 5-minute stroll from Sadang Station.

When I visited during the holiday season, the restaurant was beautifully adorned with festive Christmas decorations, adding to its charm.

Stepping through the inviting entrance, I was greeted by soft, ambient lighting and a striking Christmas tree in the center. The interior felt casually elegant and impeccably clean.

We had a reservation for 7:00 PM on a Thursday evening, and the dining area was almost completely full – a testament to its popularity!

Angjelije Sadang: Menu Recommendations

Here's a look at the menu offered at Angjelije Sadang.
For two of us, we ordered:
✔️ Mediterranean Whole Octopus Chili Pasta
✔️ Egg in Hell
✔️ Crème brûlée

1. Mediterranean Whole Octopus Chili Pasta
This was hands down the best dish of the day! It featured a generous whole octopus leg, perfectly complemented by olives, various seafood, and a hint of Korean green chili (cheongyang gochu) in an olive oil-based pasta.
The octopus was incredibly tender, not chewy at all, and the chili added a clean, refreshing kick that perfectly cut through any richness. The intense seafood aroma truly transported me to the Mediterranean!

2. Egg in Hell
Wanting to try something beyond pasta, we opted for Egg in Hell, a tomato-based dish topped with eggs. The sauce, a delicious blend of cheese and tomato, was absolutely fantastic!
However, the accompanying bread was a rather ordinary baguette, so we didn't eat much of it.

3. Crème brûlée (Dessert)
After such a delightful meal, we decided to extend our experience with dessert. We finished off with a Crème brûlée and tea.
The Crème brûlée had a perfectly thin, crispy caramelized sugar top, giving way to a smooth, creamy custard inside. It was just the right amount of sweetness, making it an ideal dessert to conclude our meal. The entire experience was incredibly satisfying.

If you're looking for a restaurant in Sadang that ticks all the boxes – ambiance, flavor, and menu variety – then Angjelije, the Sadang pasta restaurant, is an excellent choice.
It's a rare find in the bustling Sadang Station area: a tranquil spot perfect for a relaxed dinner! If you're seeking a pasta restaurant with a great atmosphere in Sadang, I highly recommend giving it a try.
