then you absolutely have to visit this special exhibition at the National Museum of Korea!
I loved my trip to Thailand so much that
the "Amazing Thailand: A Masterpiece Exhibition of Thai Art"
was just incredible! Haha.
Since this exhibition is only running until September 6th,
make sure you don't miss out on the dates if you plan to go! :)
1. Amazing Thailand: A Masterpiece Exhibition of Thai Art
This special exhibition showcases the history and art of Thailand
on a grand scale right here in Korea.
From prehistoric times, through the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya periods,
you can see Thai art that extends all the way to the mid-20th century,
all in one place.
A total of 214 works across 239 items,
including sculptures, paintings, and crafts,
submitted by 21 national institutions across Thailand, are on display.
What was particularly interesting was seeing how Thailand's renowned Buddhist culture
and royal culture evolved and changed through different eras.
What's more, this exhibition features a masterpiece of Thai Buddhist art that dates back 700 years:
the <Walking Buddha> statue,
making it truly worth a visit!

3. My Review of the Amazing Thailand Exhibition
The exhibition's presentation was much more spectacular than I expected.
Seeing the Buddha statues lined up, tracing the evolution
from Sukhothai to Ayutthaya,
it was fascinating to see how the faces, postures, and adornments changed
ever so slightly, even within the same Buddhist art style.
With so many Buddha statues in various forms, including the distinctive Walking Buddha,
and elaborate handicrafts, it constantly brought back
memories of scenes I'd witnessed in Thai temples.
Throughout the exhibition, there were large screens showcasing Ayutthaya's historical sites
and stunning Thai landscapes, and plenty of digital content,
making it far from a boring display of relics lined up one after another!
The exhibition continued with intricate handicrafts depicting Thai royal and daily life,
offering so much more to see than I initially imagined!
If you're a fan of traveling in Thailand, you absolutely have to check this out! You'll love it!
I highly recommend seeing it before September 6th!
