Alo Lotte Seoul: Cropped 1/4 Zip Pullover Review
As a Lululemon fan, I explored Alo Yoga at Lotte Department Store Seoul. See my honest review of their Cropped 1/4 Zip Alumni Pullover and the unique shopping experience.
Hey there, fellow activewear enthusiasts!
For the past 7-8 years, Lululemon has been my go-to brand🍋.
Their versatile styles fit perfectly for yoga, tennis, and golf, so whenever I need something new, Lululemon is usually my first stop.
I'd actually known about Alo Yoga even before their stores officially landed in Korea, as my brother once ordered one of their hoodies online. When the Alo store first opened at Lotte Department Store Main Branch, I popped in for a look, but back then, I remember thinking, 'Eh, I'll just stick with Lululemon.'
However, with an upcoming trip to China to catch the Shanghai Masters tennis tournament in late 2026, I decided it was time to branch out. I wanted a fresh piece of activewear for the trip, so I ventured beyond Lululemon and decided to give Alo another try.
Here's my quick shopping review of the 1/4 Cropped Zip Pullover I ended up buying!

You'll find Alo Yoga located on the second floor of Lotte Department Store Main Branch.
One thing that immediately surprised me? There's actually a waitlist just to get into the store! It's been a while since I've seen a non-luxury brand with a queue like that in a department store. On a weekday evening, the wait isn't too bad, but expect longer lines and a more significant wait on weekends.

It makes you wonder if it's worth the wait, but if you can snag something stylish, it's definitely worth it to hang in there!

Even checking stock requires you to wait in line and enter the store. Interestingly, I noticed that most of the customers seemed to be Chinese tourists!

Once you're inside, this is what the store looks like. See that line extending behind the mannequins? That's the queue for the fitting rooms! Yes, you heard that right – an entry waitlist *and* a fitting room waitlist!

Inside the Alo store, products are clearly separated into men's and women's sections. After browsing for a bit, I spotted exactly what I was looking for!
A versatile piece I could wear daily or for workouts: the CROPPED 1/4 ZIP ALUMNI PULLOVER

This is the general fit of the pullover, and it was priced at ~$137. I opted for the classic black color 🖤.
Honestly, the fitting room line looked so daunting at that point that I just decided to grab it in an XS without even trying it on.

I initially paid with my credit card, but I wanted to exchange it for a Lotte Department Store gift certificate payment, so I dropped by again on a weekday evening.

The vibrant colors on display really capture the seasonal vibe!

I was told that their product display and stock change daily! So, what you see one day might be gone the next – or vice versa.

Since I was already there to adjust my payment, I figured I might as well try on the pullover in the fitting room. Even on a weekday evening, I still waited for about 10 minutes.

Beyond clothing, the Alo store offers a wide array of products, including sneakers, bags, hats, socks, cardholders, and wallets.

You'll often spot their popular Alo sneakers around! From what I saw, they're priced in the early ~$220 range.

Their hats and socks also come in a fantastic variety of colors!

They also stock a good selection of hair accessories like claw clips, headbands, and scrunchies!

Perhaps it's because I've only visited Alo a couple of times, but my impression is that while the prices are comparable to Lululemon, the material quality feels a slight step down.

My brother also browsed but didn't end up buying anything.
My Alo 1/4 Zip Pullover

The one I purchased was an XS, but I completely forgot and tried on a Small in the fitting room! It looks a bit wrinkled in the photo, but it's truly beautiful in person.

Just for reference, there were only three fitting rooms, which probably explains the long wait times.

Here's a look at the back.

I can already tell I'll be wearing this a lot for my fall tennis sessions 🎾. And that wraps up my first Alo Yoga purchase review!
