Ado Teahouse Mullae Review: Seoul's Serene 7-Course Tea Experience
Escape the bustling city at Ado Teahouse in Seoul's Mullae Creative Village. We experienced their unique '7-Jeongcha' tea ceremony, a must-try for any tea enthusiast.

As you walk through Mullae Art Village,
you'll discover not a coffee shop,
but a cafe where you can **slowly savor tea**.
There's one special place.
It's called **Ado Teahouse**.
My friend and I visited, paying for everything ourselves,
to experience Ado Teahouse's unique
**Seven Emotions Tea**.
If you're a tea lover,
this Mullae cafe is definitely worth a visit,
so I wanted to introduce it to you.
Mullae Cafe Recommendation
Ado Teahouse

Ado Teahouse is nestled
deep within an alley of Mullae Art Village.
It's truly a hidden gem!
Step inside, and you'll immediately feel
the atmosphere become much more serene.
Tea utensils and cups are neatly arranged,
and the space perfectly blends with Mullae's unique artistic vibe.
It's a wonderful place, making it perfect as a
**date cafe** or simply a
**spot to enjoy a tranquil tea time**.

The bar seating was charming,
and if you head up the stairs to the second floor,
you'll find private room seating. However, this area
requires a **prior reservation through Naver**
to be used.

We chose a **two-person table by the window**.
It was perfect!

Ado Teahouse Tea Menu

What's truly fascinating about this place
is that you select your tea based on the Seven Emotions.
They offer teas themed around the **seven human emotions**, which are:
Joy (喜 - Hee),
Anger (怒 - No),
Sorrow (哀 - Ae),
Pleasure (樂 - Rak),
Love (愛 - Ae),
Hate (惡 - Oh),
Desire (慾 - Yok)

From these, you choose the emotion that best reflects your current mood,
and they recommend a tea that perfectly matches it. What a unique concept!
Of course, you can also simply look at the tea types
and choose one you like.

Ado Teahouse Tea Review

A single Seven Emotions Tea was ~$6,
the Seven Emotions Tea + Black Persimmon was ~$9,
and the Seven Emotions Tea + Tea Gelato was ~$11.
On the day we visited, it was after lunch,
so we only ordered the **single tea**.

When you order a tea,
they set up a beautiful tea ceremony set at each table
and **kindly guide you through the tea ceremony process**.

My Chosen Tea: Love (愛), a Floral Delight
The tea I chose was Love (愛).
It was a floral tea,
with a subtle floral fragrance wafting through the air.
I learned that the osmanthus flower used in this tea
is one of the flowers found in
Chanel No. 5 perfume!
I particularly loved the distinctively fragrant aroma of this floral tea.
If you're a fan of floral teas,
I think you'll be quite satisfied with this choice.

My Friend's Choice: Anger (怒), a Smooth White Tea
My friend chose Anger (怒),
which was a white tea.
White teas generally have a subtle, clean aroma and a delicate flavor,
and this tea, too, offered a memorable clear and clean taste.
If floral teas are all about the aroma,
white teas are more about experiencing the tea's own gentle, nuanced flavor.

I absolutely loved the experience of brewing tea
multiple times using their exquisitely designed tea ware :)

Initially, the aroma was distinct,
then the taste gradually mellowed,
leaving a lingering aftertaste of the tea at the end.

Naturally, as we slowed down to the pace of brewing tea,
our conversation also became more relaxed,
and it was a time when we could truly focus
on each cup.

We ended up staying longer than expected,
so I asked about the Wi-Fi,
and even the Wi-Fi information
was presented in such a stylish way.

Perhaps because it was a bit chilly
on the day we visited,
they even gave us small hand warmers on our way out!
Ado Tea House, a café in Mullae,
allowed us to enjoy a truly warm experience
right up until the very end.
Mullae boasts many unique cafes,
but Ado Tea House stood out as a truly
memorable place where you can experience
emotion-themed teas in a quiet and calm atmosphere.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy a relaxed time
with a cup of tea instead of coffee,
or if you're seeking a slightly more special cafe in Mullae,
I highly recommend Ado Tea House :)
