When you arrive in front of the 63 Building in Yeouido,
head inside the white building on the basement level.
You'll find the ticket booth on the left side inside,
but getting a 10% discount by booking in advance
is always a better deal, so make sure to book ahead!
The regular price is ~$17 for adults
and ~$14 for children,
but if you book your 63 Building Observatory tickets with a discount
on Trip.com, you can get an additional 10% off!
Simply show your reserved QR code for entry.
After showing the QR code for your reserved observatory ticket,
follow the staff's guidance to the dedicated elevator
that takes you directly up to the 60th floor.
Make sure to grab the pamphlet they give you at the ticket booth.
It's a voucher that lets you print photos
after you get them taken for free at the observatory.

When you step out of the elevator,
you'll immediately find yourself in the Mirror Room.
A staff member at the entrance will check your shoes.
If your shoe covers happen to come off, don't worry!
Just ask for assistance.
You don't need to go all the way down to the first floor,
as there are ways to get new covers right there,
and the staff even carry temporary shoe covers
to hand out if needed.

I intentionally went in the late afternoon
to catch the breathtaking sunset views
and then witnessed the city transform into a sparkling nightscape.
It gets surprisingly windy up there,
so even if you're wearing short sleeves,
it's a good idea to bring a cardigan or light jacket.
With summer coming to an end,
the evening air can feel even cooler,
so keep that in mind when you're packing!

The reason I highly recommend this as a Seoul date spot
is because of the Aurora Ballroom inside 63 Sky Picnic at the 63 Building Observatory!
It's a beautiful spot where you can capture amazing photos.
Couples can take stunning mirror selfies together,
and it's easy to create natural family photos with children.
It subtly reminds me of New York's Summit One Vanderbilt or Tokyo's Shibuya Sky,
and the beautiful lighting and backdrops made it a truly satisfying experience!
It's also a trendy new Seoul travel destination
that many international visitors coming to Seoul are discovering.

Once your visit is complete, the path leads you past the 63 Building gift shop and a Starbucks cafe.
The merchandise prices were more reasonable than I expected, making it a great spot for souvenirs,
And if you're feeling a bit reluctant to leave,
it would be wonderful to sit by the floor-to-ceiling windows at Starbucks,
soak in the grandeur of Seoul's iconic night view,
and then head down.
There's an elevator going down right next to the cafe.

Well, using the outdoor observatory on a rainy day would likely be difficult, wouldn't it? If it suddenly rains or the outdoor observatory becomes inaccessible, you can get a 'rain check' stamp and revisit within 3 months.
Q. Do you recommend it for both couples and family trips?
When I visited, it was incredibly popular, with many couples, families with children,
parents, and international tourists enjoying it.
In the past, Namsan Tower or Lotte World Tower were the only spots that came to mind for a Seoul observatory date, but now,
Yeouido's 63 Sky Picnic is definitely one to add to the list!
Just a heads-up: it can get quite windy on the rooftop observatory, so strollers are not allowed up there.
